Windows Vista Last Version
When it's going to be released??

I believe its early 2007, but it wont be the last "version" since there will probably be many bugs they'll update it using microsoft update and i will be a few months before most of the bugs are fixed
It's supposed to be released January 2007, but there's still a good chance that this may get pushed back again.

I don't it will meet it's release date..in the current version there are still many nasty bugs that need to get fixed.

It is scheduled for an early January realise. However it might get pushed back because there are a few glitches in Windows Vista which they need to fix. The realise might be pushed back even further if they don't fix the bugs they have in it. I'm really looking forward to Windows Vista and the updates that will come with it. I hope it has a great deal of improvements and new features added to it.

but if you want to tried... before the realese use the BETA version
I've been hearing that there are quite a few beta testers requesting that Vista goes to a third beta, as the current one has too many problems. Also the latest beta according to some has more problems than the previous beta release. I haven't tried any of the previous versions so I can't say if this is true or not though.
If Vista does go to a third beta then the release date could be pushed back by quite a bit, maybe several months.
Of course they could just release it with the problems, and fix it after the release. This is what I reckon might happen, unless something really serious comes up.
There's no way I'm going to get it when it comes out, best to leave it for a while (I'm not expecting to switch from XP to Vista for at least 6 months after it's release). Give Microsoft some time to sort anything major out.

I hope it'll faster to release
When Windows Vista fully launches it will be very interesting. I will finally be able to use the 64 Bit capability of my processor :) hope this will speed things up but then again 32 Bit programs won't run anymore.

32-bit programs will run under the 64-bit version of Windows.
However the 64-bit version of Windows won't be able to run 16-bit applications, this shouldn't really be too much of a problem though, unless you need to run some very old software.

The most interesitng thing will be the release of dx10 for vista man, its gonna kill when the dx10 video cards come out and i will be there to buy one hopefully i will have another job again and save up some money perhaps, and up my pc a little
Hehe, I'll just wait utill Window Longhorn will be released. According to the situation we have been watching (Windows98SE --> WindowsMe, Windows2000 --> WindowsXP) WindowsXp was the best. Am using Windows Media Center now, and am happy with it. More then Windows Vista requirement is kindy impossible to me to use it: ~3Ghz Prosseser 1Gb RAM 128 Video card --> for home user. And those requirements is only for "normal" needs, what if you want to listen to music while playing game (doing it all the time with WindowsXP) ==> Crap :/.
Ya, WindowVista will be released not sooner April 2007, hehe.

Vista is Longhorn renamed.
As for the requirements, it will run on slower machines with less eye candy.
I found running it on my old laptop (AMD 3000+, 512MB RAM, ATI 9600 32 MB Graphics Card), with all the eye candy turned on did make it go quite slow, I'd say it was just bearable. With the eye candy turned down it didn't run too bad.

Plus actually windows 98 was the mosts table OS MS released.
And yea.. as stated above, those requirements are only if you want aero switche don with all the eye candy too. And you'd still be able to do things, its not liek those requirements will use 100% of the resources listed with that. Plus, buying a new computer with those requirements is actually relatively cheap. MS tried to make their hardware a cheap commodity, while making consumers pay for the software instead. that's why the os is so much (although u'll get service packs for free, unlike with macs). But what you might have thought as a high end pc (the requirements listed above) a while ago, you could probably get for like 300. Esp. with sales and companies liek Dell/IBM, etc.
