Kusajika Yachiru is my favorite she is sooo cute, but i like Hitsugaya Tosuhiro i like his hair style. Matsumoto Rangiku is really hot too. I hate Kira Izuru but his Zanpaktou's ability is kinda cool, doubling the weight over and over.

All of the captains power are strong...for me it has to be hitsugaya and kenpachi...their just plain awesome...i mean hitsugaya bankai is so cool and everything and he's just a kid and kenpachi doesn't have a bankai but he still kicks ass

Yeah Kenpachi doesn't even know the name of his soul slayer so he can't even release Shikai. He tried to ask once after he fought with Ichigo tho, but the soul slayer didn't give him any respond. Well, that soul slayer might tell him later.

Zaraki has a Shikai it is like Ichigo's and always out, then mentioned it somewhere in the anime but i forget which episode. although i read that it is rumored that he learned it some time but i am just repeatign what i read.

It'd be wrong to assume that Kenpachi has Shikai, seeing as shinigami are required to know the names of their zanpakutou in order for that to happen (despite his sheer strength, even Ichigo hadn't achieved Shikai before he knew Zengetsu's name). I do remember a comment of Kenpachi's which might be a bit misleading; he actually says something along the lines of his zanpakutou having no releases at all, that all he had to do was simply increase the strength of his swings...but I digress. The point is I believe there hasn't been a direct implication of Kenpachi's achieving any release stage in both the manga and/or anime.

Moving along...

It's really hard to choose one 'best' shinigami, judging from the fact that the shinigami introduced to us and that we see frequently are all rather great characters in their own right. Despite this, I'll go in on those shinigami that I've favored.

Kuchiki Rukia: I just adore her. Throughout the Bleach series (both anime and manga) I've grown to respect Rukia, not just as a shinigami with formidable power (to those keeping up with the manga), but also as one of the leading characters. She holds many redeeming qualities, such as her selflessness and courage, yet as any character with depth she also has her quirks.

Matsumoto Rangiku: This is a shinigami who I can make many varying comments about whenever I see her; she can be hilarious one second and completely badass the next. She knows when to slack off and when to get down to business. Rangiku can even be a listener in a time of need and then offer the words that you just need to hear (in reference to a certain manga chapter containing a specific moment).

Shihouin Yoruichi: What's not to love? She's powerful, intelligent, and truly badass in her own right. She has a rather important role as a supporting character, and as a catalyst in the growth (at least physically) of many other characters...if that isn't at all redundant. >_>

Kuchiki Byakuya: 'Cause I don't just favor the female shinigami. There really isn't a reason as thought out as the others, but a fangirl must indulge. Furthermore, I just have a spot for pretty boy nobility that for some reason I can't help. -Cough-

All in all, though, it's hard not to love all of the shinigami, be they there just for comical relief or to kick some serious ass. :D

My favourite shinigami is Byakuya Kuchiki ^^. Beyond its cold skill, serious, it he is very powerful and it possesss sensational blows. The petals of sakura are great and also its BANKAI is prettiest of all, beyond to be very very powerful. Definitively, Byaku-chan is the best!

nope, you're wrong he does have a shikai. notice that his sword looks different from the other shinigamis in their sealed form. and he said it himself that he never sealed his zanpakuuto when he fought Ichigo in the Soul Society arc. it's in perpetual release form, just like Ichigo's. he can't use it's abilities because he doesn't know it's name.

anyway back to the subject, my favorite is definitely Zaraki Kenpachi, he can take two captains at once without sweating and he doesn't even have bankai. just imagine how powerful he will be if he learns his bankai.

The best shinigami, as far as strongest/best powers by far is Captain Aizen

I mean, Ichigo is kicking butt left and right, even defeating Byakuya, but Aizen is able to stop him with just one finger! That's putting a punk in his place :p.

As far as favorites Byakuya, Hitsugaya, Sandal Hat and Renji are my favs hands down. I have only seen a tiny bit of Sandal Hat's powers (don't know if more is shown after episode 63 and anything in the manga after that), but I think that he may be more powerful than the rest/most of the Shinigami.

Hitsugaya ppl, he can freakin turn anything to ice. Like he stabs you and you're frozen/dead end of story.

Im going to make my own religion for zaraki kenpachi

My personal favorite is Zaraki Kenpachi. If he learned to use bankai then he would probably be the strongest shinigami but as he is now, he is just cool. The best shinigami overall is probably Hitsugaya. He has an awesome bankai and a sexy vice captain.
