One of my first CG images
2 years 6 months ago
Please be patient for the image to load, I'm running this off my website www.clearskyanime.com . This is hosted over my cable connection to help me save cash but still allow me to share my work. Let me know what you think. I can't beleave I still have some of my old work, lol.
I call it "All in Wait"

Sorry for the large size, but it looked crappy the last time I tried to scale it down.
Here's the link to the line art too. Careful, this is even bigger than the cg image.

That's really beautiful. I love the colors and the subtle light changes in the water. Very well drawn and colored. I really love it. Great job.
I must say this is really good, despite the fact that you're saying this is one of your old CGs. I'm
presuming that your current CGing skill are much more better than this one?
Then that means you're really really good at it. I can't imagine how long you took to do
one of those *points to the coloured or rather final picture...
Well done! I liked nearly everything, the female is georgeous, though as a female, she has quite a
long face there. The coloured one definetely is much more better than the pencil one..
Liked the clouds and the cliche in the river. Good joob. I can't wait for your next CG you post.

I started CG'ing in 10th grade. Though it wasn't part of art class I wasn’t too good at painting, but I was always into pc's and we had Photoshop at my school so I took one of my sketches I had drawn and spent study hall in our pc lab. Eventually I got done and turned it in instead of doing a painting, which my teacher was fine with because she'd never had anyone ask to do something like it. By my senior year we had gotten a Graphic art class (CG basically). But the only bad part was people were like oh I can just cut and paste stuff in Photoshop while playing on the computer and get at least a C. I think there should have been more restrictions for getting into the class, but oh well crap happens. I think this one was done want to say late fall or winter in that class. Overall it took 3 months or so from sketch to final image. But I only can do CG when I have free time now, though it’s hard to get that when you’re in college and working part-time. So I have some that need to be done but I don't know when or if I'll get time to finish them, as I'm starting a new hobby, resin model painting.
Wow, that's really beautiful! The CG-ing is very excellent. ^_^

It looks very very nice
Please don't rip other people's works. Unless you happen to be laichro ( http://laichro.deviantart.com ), I'm inclined to believe you somehow managed to get your hands on a high res version of her CG and lineart and you're posting it as your own work. The original image is here: http://www.deviantart.com/view/20052561/
And the fact that you could ever make something this good on one of your first CGs is pretty questionable.

Hmm iridian? Don't just go on accusing people... I hope. Let's just wait and see what's the reason..
(personally i wouldn't like to accuse people too.)

Nah, it's definatly ripped. You can even see the strands of hair that he didn't get to crop out.
Hmmm? well, i don't know about that but.. *shrugs
It seems to me to be the exact same thing... who ripped who
or whether its his original work.. well, I don't know.

I don't accuse people without a basis for accusation. Laichro is a well-established/well-known artist on dA and submitted her image long before streetracer here did, plus the image fits with her style of drawing. Besides, you can't have 2 people (especially 2 people of different genders) draw the exact same image unless they collabed but none of the two mention it, so one of them must be ripping and I'm inclined to believe streetracer did even though he has a higher res image and a picture of the sketch. Just as well, Laichro mentions that this picture is published in a magazine, where she has written a 6-page tutorial for doing the watery effects shown here. If she were the ripper, I don't think she'd go as far to mention that fact.
I think iridianwind is right. It seemed that it has been ripped off. Unless if it's laichro herself (which I know she'll used her own nick if she wants to post it up) I doubt that it. In any case, this imposter must go.
Ohh.. well, i never knew laichro.. so I actually have no right to accuse anyone,
but upon hearing what you say, yeah I'm covinced that you guys are right.
