This is kind of a listing thread.. which means it'll prolly get locked. Maybe you should ask why people think that a certain series is the best? ^_^

I don't think the best series has been created yet. Then- there are hundreds of thousands of titles I haven't seen yet- so I don't think I can correctly answer the question. I happen to think the series that I love are among the best, but not everyone would agree so I guess they couldn't be the best in the world.

Read the rest of Leviticus and ask yourself why the "lying with mankind" thing is the only thing many Christians rail against. What about divorce, being inhospitable, not planting crops properly or eating certain foods? Why not have all that outlawed by the State as well? Hypocrites.

Best anime i ever watched couldn't say ever created i haven't seen every single anime

Below are my opinions only
Elfen Lied [bloodiness] some people might go for berserk?
CardCaptor Sakura [best for magical girl]
kodomo no Omocha [best for comedy]
Detective Conan [best for mystery]
Ergo Proxy [best for Sci-fic]
Strawberry Panic [best for Shoujo-ai]

can't think of which anime i saw has the best romance...i'll probably edit if i thought of it

The best series ive seen was Elfen Lied. Alot of people dont liek the gore in it but it just adds to the incredible plot.

I'd have to say Neon Genesis takes it. There's been a lot of attempts to capture what it did, but it was the first of it's scale that really got it right. But really, it all depends on what you like best about anime to be able to say which one is the best, it's a matter of perspective. What hooked me is that it was a great series that from out of the blue all of a sudden hit you with view challenging ideas and provoked thought. Anime of this caliber outshines the Western world in that we're too tame or politically correct to produce such things.

Well yeah i agreed that every anime has it's own bests in some aspect... but it doesn't hurt to just express your feelings ryt!? and besides there's always a lot more magnificent anime's to come ryt!?... hehe... well for me it would be gundam seed destiny... cause it's kinda serious :D

I would have to agree with you when you say that Fruits Basket is one of the best anime that has ever been created. However I would have to say that Fullmetal Alchemist is also one of the best.

I can't really pick a best ever created. I've seen a lot of anime, but there's still so much that I haven't seen yet. Or more so, I can't really decide which anime beats another since they all have different genres and fill different roles. For instance, for best comedy I would say Azumanga Daioh or School Rumble. But for best sentimental or drama I would say Air, Chrno Chrusade or Full Moon wo Sagashite. The thing is I just can't compare comedies to sentimentals or dramas to see which is the "best ever created." But if I have to pick something that I think everyone should watch it would probably be Full Moon wo Sagashite (may not be the "best ever created" but it definitely has the best ending I've EVER seen!). And my "diamond in the rough" anime that not a lot of people have seen, even though it's definitely one of the greats as animes are concerned, is Honey and Clover.

1. Naruto
2. Bleach
3. Blood+
4. Prince of tennis
5. full metal alchemist
thats the list with anime that has ep's

1. Naruto the movie (all of them)
2. Grave of the firefiles
3. Final Fantasy 7 advent children
4. Howla moving castle
5. Ghost in the shell
Those are for movies only
