Which do you like, watching old classic or new anime?
Personally, I like the newer anime's, I prefer the art styles of the new anime. The older storys are just as good as the newer stuff, but i just prefer the art.
I like the newer anime as well, I'm choosy when it comes to art. ._.;
It's hard to say for me, because it depends on my mood. I love the new animes because the animation is so nice and clean, plus some use awesome effects in fight scenes. But then I enjoy watching classic animes because it brings back fond memories. Sure, the animation may be dated, but it's a little piece of nostalgia for me.

A lot of my favourites are new ones. I like som of the classic ones too, although I am also a bit too picky about the art... There are some really good ones among those too though.

I like newer anime and a little bit classic (like Doramon, Kamen rider, Samurai sprites.etc.)
I choose new anime. cool art.
I also prefer new anime. However, "The Rose of Versailles" is in my top list, and it's quite old.
I have to agree with others that I like the art style of new anime much more. However some of my favorite series are much older but I liked them the most for their story. Shows like Serial Experiments Lain comes to mind...

I like a lot of the newer stuff but in my oppion, some of the clasic stuff is still unmatched with story quality. might be why they started to remake a few of them?
I like new anime too especially the graphics are way better than the ones in old shows but sometimes I just HAVE to watch a good old anime like a dragonball fight or something.
All of them, specially the classics and the new anime... new animation is better but some classics are hard to ignore.
I love all anime but i have to say i prefer the new just for the art the art is really good in the new :) but i like watching the old anime as well
Wow, first time i can give an easy answer, i vote for newer animes, not only because of the arts but also for their original stories, in old animes, well i will not forget them but old animes had repetitive scenes a lot, at times during some episode you could feel that the pictures were done in a rush, seeing some characters being drawn in a weird way make me mad, also some voice were confused, like in french version of saint seiya, mu of aries have a girl voice like shun too, in new animes even if there is still a feeling of a little rush, their are computer graphics that goes straigh to my eyes and some scenes that makes you really feel the story ( if you do not understand then try to watch the movie doom where there is the scene of the gun in front of the screen ), what i mean is, new animes lives on their own almost, complex story and complex graphics showing a really hard work than ever, keep it up japan

I think when considering such a question, it's important to figure out how people are definining "classic" anime versus "new" anime. For me, new anime equals those that were released from 2000 to now (although "brand new" would probably be just late 2005 to now), neither old nor new would be 1996 through 1999, "older" would be 1990 to 1995, "old" would be 1985 to 1989, and "classic" would be anything before 1985. Give or take a few years in any given category.
All of that being said, I have a penchant for 90s anime, particularly the early 90s. Sailor Moon, Magic Knight Rayearth, and Revolutionary Girl Utena are some of my absolute favorites. That's not to say I don't dig new or classics. I'm in love with Rose of Versailles, and make it a point to try to catch other classics. And I definitely watch a lot of newer stuff too (I adore NANA), but still, the 90s were good times for anime in my mind. Perhaps it's because thats the anime I started out on that makes me appreciate it more...
