This wallpaper captures the urban essence that proliferated the art of Ghost in the Shell in every incarnation of the series. Phill does an amazing job of capturing a moment of surrealism.

While there are a few, stray building angles and shadows, you find that your eye forgives the minor details and instead focuses on the overall scene that is larger than life, with lights trailing off into infinity.

My sister actually got me into anime. She just went crazy when she showed me all the animes she knew about. And eventually, I got addicted to it. xD

My cousin got me into anime. I'd just walk in the room and she'd be there watching Fruits Basket or Sailor Moon or something, and I'd just kind of stand there and watch for a bit. ^_^ I love it now!

What got you into anime?

As I put it in another thread, I'm afraid I have only myself to blame.

Somewhere along the line, as a youngster, I plopped myself in front of the television and discovered series' such as: Speed Racer, Battle of the Planets, Star Blazers, etc., -- which were a dramatic departure from many of the other shows I had seen (and that I also enjoyed) and they were exciting as all get out.

I've had a fascination for animation in general for as long as I can remember, and anime is no exception, offering some of the best material the field has to offer. As such, and on it's own character, culture, and storytelling merits, I can't help but be a fan.

I first remember my favorite anime being Sailor Moon and Dragon Ball Z, mind you this was back in the day when they were still on public TV.

I've liked anime on occasion, but it was not till I watched Negima in its entirity that I wanted to watch more and more and more, and eventually have. Over 25 series and counting I've watched.

Ahh. Well first I was addicted to Pokemon, so much that I was considered "The Pokemon Queen". o.o Than I just kind of got bored with Pokemon and became addicted with Digimon. I still haven't gotten over this obsession mind you. I remember seeing one episode of Dragon Ball Z and hating it with every fiber in my being. Maybe I'll like it better not but I haven't tried. This was all before I knew what anime was.

Than I think around two or three years ago I was flipping through the channels and I spotted an episode of Inuyasha. o.O It was so entirely diffrent from any show I had watched I just sat there amazed ("HE HAS DOG EARS!") but it wasn't episode where Inuyasha starred, it was in the human world with Kagome, so I had no clue what the show was called. Than when I went to my cousins house he told me, than refused to let me watch the tapes he had. So it was up to me! I looked it up online, recognized it as 'anime'. Watched my fill of Inuyasha, than I looked into other animes and BAM! I'm an addict. And that is how I became addicted to anime. *Sits down solemnly while people in the Anime-Addict Circle clap*
