This wallpaper captures the urban essence that proliferated the art of Ghost in the Shell in every incarnation of the series. Phill does an amazing job of capturing a moment of surrealism.

While there are a few, stray building angles and shadows, you find that your eye forgives the minor details and instead focuses on the overall scene that is larger than life, with lights trailing off into infinity.

The motivation is beside the point. How the quantity has been articulated is what the commentary referred to.

What's good with anime? Except that is funny, entertainment and amzingly well.
What else? Do we learn something? Or do we waste or time?
Well, I don't think so, actually it depends what kind of anime watch. Like naruto or pokemon or you know the useless things...
But some any anime has great messages... Like how to find courage, how important some things are, what true love really means. how a person actully should be and don't be. etc do you get it?
That's my opinion, what's yours?

Yes i agree some are plain waste of time. But then sometimes, those are exactly what I need to relax and de-stress. I don't watch Ghost in the Shell when I want to relax, i watch school rumble. That should be a good enough example.

But for pokemon and naruto, i don't watch those so no comments. i also think that we do learn some things, based on the plt of course. I also feel that it develops creativity. Alot of anime has story lines that I can never dream of. Those are a real eye opener, i just pray the ending is good or at least I like it.

Examples of those I like are Zegapain, Fate Stay Night. Really nice touching story. to relax, go for Azumanga Daioh !

I think most anime is better than 75% of TV that we get here in America. Some shows are deep, like Gankoutsou(is that spelled correctly..lol), Elfen Lied, Wolf's Rain, and Ergo Proxy just to name a few. But lots are just fun to watch and full of cool ass moments. Naruto, Bleach, Green Green are just a few of my favorites. I wish we had an anime channel here in US with NO dubs. The Japanese language just goes so much better with the anime in my opinion.

By the way, the best thing that goes with anime is of course Ramen Noodles with eggs dropped in!! Duh, everyone knows that!

Well actually, I think that even Naruto or Pokemon bear this kind of things...
But in the overall, I think that your statement is right about almost all animes... even the ones who are showing somehow a lot of blood and violence in my opinion bear meanings (wether good or bad).
Personally, I'm quite fed up with some of the anime who have those simple and childish meanings... I would prefer some anime that would bring some thoughtful vision of life, people, relatioships... something that would have a psychology...

I think anime is an entertainment for us. The good things are you have something to entertain you and you enjoy it or at least you have something to do or watch and talk about. I don't think anime has anything bad as long as you can stay in reality and know that anime is just for fun. Anime might give you lessons, but you have to adapt it to suits the reality. Some behaviours in anime are not appropriate, but as I said, if you just watch it for enjoy and stay in reality, that should be fine. Oh, another thing is don't get addicted to anime too much because you might forgot something that you have to do like homework or your jobs. This is my opinion.

Dont know about you guyz but these are some of the anime and it effect on me

Getbackers ~ moment is Ginji... is sorrow past its very touching
Slayers, FMP fumoffu... etc ~ laughing
Detective Conan ~ get the feeling of ingenious murde and how they done it
Gundam Seed ~ Sad death and struggle and pain... Song is nice too
Destiny ~ pretty much the same thing except from the point of view from the enemy side more often then not
OnePiece ~ hilarious... in with Slayers and so on.
Mahou Sensei Negima / Sister Princess / Love Hina / etc~ feel like one is in a harem
Hunter X Hunter / Guyver / etc ~ action and violence dealing with mad crazy people "Hisoka" Love him ^^
And more...

The best thing about anime is its abillity to tell a long story,.. through the 24 or so episodes in a season.

Eva in one episode = cool..
Eva throughout 24 episodes = Mind blowing crazyness...

I think anime was really the first media to embrase this long story tool...
well besides comics and manga of course..

I think it depends on what anime we watch. There are those who are really pointless, with lot of blood, violence and stuff like that. Those types of anime are done just for our entertainment. Personally i think that there is more anime that have messages in it and that learn us something. I think that anime teach us about real life in a little more metaforical way and that we have to understand how to use what they teach us in real life. I mean that we should see the difference between anime world and real world. Just because of that i think anime isn't just for kids because they can't fully understand messages that come from anime. I think anime is certainly better that regular cartoons who really are here just for our fun and who don't teach us anything.

OF course we learn something from anime. Most anime have moral inscribe into them, such is the case with Neo Genesis Evangelion. Other anime also have hiding messages that might not be as clear but they are still there. Anime also help us improve our creativity and imagination. When I watch anime i use my imagination, you might say i daydream. Nevertheless developing a good imagination is essential in life. Without an imagination we would be mindless people doing mindless task. We could think of new things to create because we couldn't imagine them. Okay maybe that last one was to much. The thing im trying to say is that anime fuel our imagination and our imagination fuels our dreams.

I think every anime has a deep lesson behind it. Some are created, as mention before, for pure entertainment. And frankly, I dont have a big problem with that XD. Some anime do have such a lesson in them, but it also depends on how the viewer interprets it. Its very rare that they do it that its ridiculously obvious, although Ive seen some like that. And of course, the viewer may not learn anything at all. Oh well. At least he got a good time watching. XD

I watch anime for the storyline and the moral the maker of it is trying to yell out. Like some shows : Never give up!or You can do anything if you believe! and so on. HowEVER, other animes are a completely pointless and have no meaning, so i avoid watching those. For example,.....hmm how about Berserk? Im not saying its bad or anything but i dont see any moral from it. I only think "What am i supposed to learn from some homicidal maniac? Do I go on a killing spree or what?" Catch my drift? So yeah, all in a nutshell, I like shows with a POINT to get across. And the characters. Gotta love the characters =3
