This wallpaper captures the urban essence that proliferated the art of Ghost in the Shell in every incarnation of the series. Phill does an amazing job of capturing a moment of surrealism.

While there are a few, stray building angles and shadows, you find that your eye forgives the minor details and instead focuses on the overall scene that is larger than life, with lights trailing off into infinity.

If I have to choose I would say I will Choose Core 2 Duo instead cause it's better and it doesn't
much power resourse

I will choose Core Duo!

Haha...

It doesn't take up much more power resourses too...

Since Athlon Fx62 the to heat up faster...
And im using a laptop currently...

I will of course prefer to use core duo...

You might wanna take a look at the CPU Charts here from tomshardware:
http://www23.tomshardware.com/cpu.html?modelx=33&model1=430&model2=464&chart=177

I was exploring the chart and I can't find any benchmark that AM2 beats Core 2 Duo. What's AMD doing >_<.

PS. I'm using Intel though but I'm against monopoly.

Core 2 Duo hands down. Thje cheapest one can beat any AMD product out. Most can do it off of stock but with overclocking, you could turn the cheapest 1.83 ghz one into the fastest commercial processor in the world.

Core 2 Duo, as it's faster and has less power consumption and heat production, although I wish it were 64 bit.

Intel's core 2 processors are 64-bit (they feature EM64T).

Given the choice between the two, I'd also choose the Intel at this given moment, however I still maintain that the comparison of the current-generation Intel processor based on a newer core technology and using new fabrication innovations (65nm, strained silicon (SiGe), etc.) to the five year old K8 architecture is hardly fair; ask again when the AMD K8-L comes out (when AMD is also on 65nm and strained silicon) and we'll be on an even playing field.

Go for the Intel Core Duo2, its much newer and the conroe cores look good

If i were to choose between these two i would go for the core duo 2. I tested it and it seems to perform better than the AMD for graphics processing.

But yeah did you people try out the Xeon Duo Processor( 1337mhz FSB i think) i have 1 computer using it.. heat is quite high but power consumption is only slightly higher than a core duo 2. Performance wise its much better and stable. Its a powerful processor. Though its quite costly compared to a core duo. Yeah but its worth it if you like your computer to work as if it is flying!~ haha

Personally after just switching from an AMD 3700+ San Diego Core to an Intel E6600 Conroe core, the performace at stock is quite amazing for the Core 2 Duo. Now trying to compare to when overclocked (my 6600 is at 3.3 right now) basically destroys anything out made by AMD.

But that's just how the market goes, each company will beat each other's technology every couple years or so. They push each other around like that to get them to make better products. Which is a good thing for all of us. It's the same for Nvidia vs ATI.

AMD, I've had them my entire computer driven life. They work good and I have the AMD Athlon 64-bit, when it first came out, and it runs at 2.5GHz and when I'm running a stranueous program it pops up to 3.5GHz, so it works for me. It is coupled with my ATI Radeon 9800 Pro. With shader capable 2.4, which I need to play my CS:S turnies. Not the shader, I thought I would just add that in.

AMD all the way. Intel still has the memory latency demon whipping its butt with a flyswatter.

Power wont be an issue next year. Remember that the transistors for Core are half as large as AMD's. AMD still hasnt got a 45nm fab going in full swing yet. Regardless, AMD's 90nm Opteron consumes only 7 watts more than Intel's 45nm Woodcrest (sorry, forget which ones specifically, but they are both the top of the line server processors).

AMD and ATI merger only makes me want to stay on the AMD ship. Direct connecting with a GPU is going to be absolutely killer.

:( I have been a pretty devout AMD guy but the Core Duo kicks ass. I hope AMD comes out with something new before Vista and DX10(when I get a new PC again..lol) or I'll have to go the Core Duo route

I'd definitely go with Core 2 Duo over an Athlon FX62. The FX series is overrated and just plain expensive. And OC'd Opteron 165 > FX62 any day. The Core 2 Duos are definitely the best of the dual cores however, easily beating out AMD with its low power consumption and much smaller heat output.

Core 2 Duo for multitasking, but you know what. I heard they were going to have quad cores by intel in 2008.
