This wallpaper captures the urban essence that proliferated the art of Ghost in the Shell in every incarnation of the series. Phill does an amazing job of capturing a moment of surrealism.

While there are a few, stray building angles and shadows, you find that your eye forgives the minor details and instead focuses on the overall scene that is larger than life, with lights trailing off into infinity.

Hey everyone. This is my first time ever starting a thread, so I figured I'd give it a shot. Which animes do you think have awesome soundtracks? For me, I really dig Bleach's soundtrack.

Honestly, this is a pretty hard one.

Each anime has its own unique style and sound, thus making a majority of them different.

I'll admit I haven't watched anywhere near the range of anime some of you may have, but I'm content with that. I'm not a religious follower or otaku like some may claim they are. For Inuyasha, that wasn't so true back when I first started watching it.

So each anime, to me at least, has its own unique songs and good soundtracks.

If I had to judge between all the ones that I do have...I'd say Inuyasha's 'Wind' takes the cake. It's a change from the remixes and soundboards and lets an actual orchestra do the work. I really do enjoy just sitting back and listening to it once in while. Even without vocals, I can still hear the words and lyrics perfectly.

But my most used ones are the Naruto Singles soundtracks for each of the openings and endings. Just too addicting.

Cowboy Bebop

'nuff said

Okay, well actually anything that Yoko Kanno does is genius. She did all the CB soundtracks, as well as Escaflowne, Ghost in the Shell, and many more. Her style is jazzy and eclectic. She rules.

I will say Cowboy Bebop as well. The soundtrack perfectly fits the theme of the series. Since, as it was stated, Yoko Kanno is a genius. My runner up would probably be Noir's OST which Yuki Kajiura has a hand in.

For this I would have to say the soundtrack from Fullmetal Alchemist or Shakugan no Shana. Both are really appealing to me, and I often listen to it on my mp3. The FMA OST is especially good in my opinion and I really like the indidvidual themes. It suits the anime very well.

I agree with mirku, each anime has its own unique music to suit its anime storyline.Gee in my opinion, i believe that shakugan no shana's OST is the best anime soundtrack.Im no professional rater but, its ending OST has both romance and destruction in it.
Anyone agrees?

In my opinion, the cons of this OST is the huge collection of instrumental music.
Other people may like instrumental more, but i like vocals more.
Unlike mirku, i can't hear the lyrics of the songs just by listening to the instrumental.
Yet, I still love this OST!

I'm a pretty big fan of the Eureka 7 soundtracks. I love the openings and endings escpecially the last opening, Sakura, by NIRGILIS. Check it out. :)

A good soundtrack, as already mentioned, should work for the series. This is true to many too numerous to list here, not to mention I do not watch animes extensively enough to judge. Soundtracks which are most worthy of mention I thereby deem to be ones which stand out enough even as independent music not incidental to the anime. By this I mean they can bring back recollection of the show even when listened to a long time afterwards or even just great to listen to at anytime.

With thes criteria, I name the OST for "Shoujo Kakumei UTENA" the best of all time. Those of "Card Captor Sakura" and "D.C. ~Da Capo~" rank pretty high for me also.
