Peace Maker Kurogane
Welp I just finished the Full Metal Alchemist/ Rurouni Kenshin series so now I'm looking for something else to waste my time on. While christmas shopping for family today at the suncoast, of course I was drawn to the anime section like a moth to the light and while browsing this series caught my eye. Now up until today when I saw it at the store I had never heard of it before and so before investing time and money into it, I was wondering for those who have seen it, is it any good? Or perhaps there is something better? Because afterall, Bleach is sounding pretty good too :P
Thanks for the help,
Dan

Peacemaker Kurogane is a great series, the story is great too, and some of the episodes are really funny, and the fighting scenes are nice too, but the manga is different too since the manga is the second series, not even sure if they have a second anime series of peacemaker, thats all i know of.
I'd go get me som bleach ^_^. I seen some preveows to peacemaker... it looked like it might be worth the watch.
They don't have the first series of peacemaker, only the second season, and i don't think their making a second season since most of the scenes were used in the first series, the second series kinda creeps me out withe the bad character all gothic and all and holding his master's dead skull, but watch the first series, it be alot better to watch it before reading the second series.
I like going to suncoast too!(ahem) i also have heard that bleach is a good anime and have seen a few vidoes about it.
Hmm so I guess its a god then? Hmm Maybe I'll watch both at the same time, heck I got all christmas break to get started ^_^;
I'd heard that pmk was a good series. i was planning on watching it soon, but as i haven't ACTUALLY seen it yet i can't say. so what was the point of this post? *grumbles* time to log off...
Yes, Peacemaker Kurogane is worth watching. But be sure not to go into it with skewed expectations. On the one hand, it does have some fantastic battle scenes (those that occur near the climax are especially lavish and stunning). On the other hand, its primary focus is character development, to the point that character development takes priority over action scenes and even the main plot.
That's not to say the main plot isn't strong. It carries the show well without being convoluted. But nevertheless, it proceeds at a deliberate pace, which some may dislike. Moreover, the series as a whole is almost slice-of-life, although the life you're seeing is that of a Shinsengumi member, which puts a different spin on things. Don't go into this expecting something along the lines Rurouni Kenshin--although it does have value to RK fans because of how it portrays the other side of the historical conflict. If you're ready to relax, enjoy the characters & their interplay, and don't mind some bloodshed and there, you'll probably have fun with PMK. It does seem to lend itself well to being marathoned, but YMMV.

Peacemaker Kurogane is not bad. I loved the darker and dramatic parts. Some comical parts also worked well. Some not. But it's definitely good anime. And I have heard from my friends that manga is (much) better...can't say for sure because I haven't read it (maybe some day).
I found Peacemaker to be quite enjoyable, though i never finished it all the way through. Saw the first 5 out of 7 DVDs so i saw a good portion of the series. While htere isnt too much swword fighitng, the evolution of the main character (which i have seem to forgotton) There are some awesome comedic episodes. I think episode 15 is one of them. It invloves the Shinsengumi and haikus. I dont think ive laughed so hard in a long time. The dub is so-so if you watch dubs. The story is entertaining though. I would say that its worth it, especially since theres a thinkpak out by ADV. But you mentioned Bleach, thats also amazing, and in my opion vastly better than Peacemaker. But on the otherhand, Bleach doesnt have an end in sight, so if you are looking for closure, i would go with peace maker.
Tell me if this anime is any good! i actually really want to see this! so is it good?!
I liked "Peace Maker Kurogane" but the weird thing about the anime is the manga takes place right after the anime ended which i have never seen before usually the anime is based of the manga but i am not so sure now.
I really liked peace maker, i havent read the manga yet but the anime is great, ive got all the dvds and they are worth the money...really loved it.. the characters , the story its awsome
