This wallpaper captures the urban essence that proliferated the art of Ghost in the Shell in every incarnation of the series. Phill does an amazing job of capturing a moment of surrealism.

While there are a few, stray building angles and shadows, you find that your eye forgives the minor details and instead focuses on the overall scene that is larger than life, with lights trailing off into infinity.

What do you think about your teacher if you found out she likes anime, games, and also a crazy cosplay?

My art teacher likes classic american cartoons, like tom&jerry, bugs bunny, and mickey mouse.
Does that count?
My cousin's an otaku though...

On the other hand, I wouldn't mind what my teachers like, they've decided what they like and want in life, and I shouldn't do anything to change their minds.

Yep, our teacher sorta leans in the otaku direction. We're not bothered by it; we think it's cool, especially since he also decorates the visual aids he brings (PowerPoints presentations, charts, and graphs) with all sorts of anime pics he draws himself. :D

An online friend of mine is an otaku teacher. She told me that when her students passed a test, she would hand out scanlated pages of Death Note for them to read.

I wish I had teachers like that; getting free manga after passing a test would have given me more of an incentive to study harder...

Some of my professors are anime fans. that just goes with the territory though. animators appreciate animation and all. It doesn't really bother me. it made the off-campus trip to Tokyo more fun that way.

My art teacher thinks he is an otaku... - - but really he knew nothing! He thinks manga is drawn like american cartoons and he claimed what he draw ad mangas = = To be hones, I can draw better than him! Also he thinks that he is an anime manga genius but really he doesn't know any series until he taught my class art an a few of the boys are mad at Kingdom Hearts so he went mad after them! So IRRITATING!!

My english teacher...gaahh...*sob*

she is really into manga, and sometimes catches me reading it in class, she will either
A) threaten to ruin the story for me
B) Ask me what it is or
C) tell me to put it away since it's inappropriate, and im probably not mature enough to read it

Well, i think it's kinda normal actually...as i like anime and manga...there should be someone old enough that like it too...in my case it was one of my lecturer...
she is an otaku of naruto...she never misses the first day of downloading the first day episode which is releases either thursday or friday...i don't think its weird though...
in my case, if i cant be patient enough...i download the raws..haha...so in my conclusion, it doesn't matter who are an otaku and who's not...and i dont think we have the right to criticize their hobbies...if we do, and if someone criticize our hobbies, then you can feel the same pain when we criticize them..

One of my English teacher admitted to being an anime fan after reading a paper I had written on AMVs. Apparently his daughters had gotten him into it. My old Physics professor from High School also just happens to be an anime fan, though I don't exactly remember how I found out.

Really the only thing I thought about them after I found out was that they received a few extra cool points. I don't really see it as much of a big deal. Heck I know sixty year old anime fans...

I think about that problem, it's not bothering me at all especially if he/ she has the same interest as my and my friends, that'd be cool. Maybe me and my friends could share and discuss about some anime and other to him/her

I'd probably laugh and ask him/her what anime/manga they've seen, but then again, if they're otaku, they'd know A HECK lot more of anime/manga than me, which again, I'd laugh harder XD

My Sophomore year's English Teacher watched anime. I wouldn't say he was an otaku, but he listed a few series he'd watched and admired for its deep concepts and stories. Upon leaving his class and moving on to my Junior year, I gave him one of those water-filled yoyo balls he'd claimed to have liked since the beginning of the school year (since I couldn't find anything else he'd listed to have liked: Benjamin Franklin bobbleheads (my idea) and Rice Crispies) and some action figure from Soul Taker. He placed it in his new classroom the following year, and when I went to visit him, he told me his new students were terrified at first and thought it was a bat hanging in the corner of the room.

He was my favorite teacher, probably EVER. Laid back and really nice, but worked us like dogs in preparation for the regents exams. I think I actually learned something from him.
