Not too much for me to say about this wallpaper that hasn't already been said: Dalarty has provided a descriptive walk through all the way from the concept idea, to its execution and ultimately its fruition. And you can really see how that careful planning paid off. But it just goes to show, good ideas take time---and a whole lot of patience!

Both but it really depends on my mood although if the lyrics on a particular song are those that I can relate to then I say I'd go for lyrical over instrumental.

Both --> GREAT.
Instrumental... I usually play it whenever I'm studying, whatever...
But lyrical... Prefer this one. xD. I like to sing with the song.. together~

Both are good depending on the situation and the mood I'm in.
I listen to a lot more lyrical songs, but I listen to only instrumentals when I'm studying or something that requires concentration.
Instrumentals can get boring after a while. So can songs with words if the lyrics are bad.
So yeah, it all depends.

Instrumentals can sound so plain without the vocals. My only exception to this would probably be "Bouken Desho Desho", where the instrumental has the awesome trumpet bits that are just barely heard in the vocal. Depends, really, but usually I find the lyrical version better.

A mix of the two. But Instrumental is something I enjoy more at times.

I like both actually, and which I prefer more varies from song to song. Some songs I can't really get into without the lyrics, but others I just plain love the instrumentals for it. The thing I find about instrumentals is that they tend to relax me which is usually when I work best.

Somehow I get bored of instrumental songs very quickly. I can listen to them for a minute or something but that's it. It's different with game themes , I guess because I connect something with them, but in general I like lyrical music much better

It all depends on the music, and also my mood. If I like the lyrics and they're more than just lines repeated over and over or those clichéd lines that have been inserted into every song ever written, then I'll listen to those songs. When I'm looking for inspiration for a dramatic or romantic fanfic, or just feeling a little down or emotional, I go for emo or cheesy lyrics. XD But not too emo or too cheesy, of course.

But usually, when I try to relax or study, I lean more towards instrumentals, like anime background music. Some of them still have vocals (Yuki Kajiura's, especially, and a few of Koutarou Nakagawa's have chants) though, but they're still worth listening to nonetheless.

Sometimes I'll prefer to listen to lyrical, and other times I'll do a lot of instrumental. It really depends, because I like a lot of kinds of music, and I'm not too picky.

Instrumentals! I ADORE instrumentals! Perchance you have heard 'The Firebird Suite 1919 version' by Igor Stravinsky? It was animated by Disney for Fantasia 2000 and i fell in love it! Its so beautiful...just beautiful.

I like lyrical songs as much as the next person but i hold a deep, deep love for instrumentals. Especially Tchaikovsky's Swan Lake. If you close your eyes while listening to some instrumentals, your feelings rise up with the music and down with it. Its extraordinary the feelings you get while listening to instrumentals.

Well... here I come with my opinion xD!
The music always is going to take a diferent meaning from the person who is listening to it... but...
I think that the instrumental music its better than the lyrical... the reason: since a few years ago all the lyrical music has been turning in the same thing... all the songs say practically the same... nothing else is original... well... a very few songs could be called "original" but that percent of music is just the 3%, and the other 97% is just trash... sometimes the instrumental music can say more than the lyrical...
But all depends about the person... well, that's what I think ^^.

I like a lot the instrumental rock... Joe Satriani, Andy Timmons, Eric Johnson, John Petrucci, Steve Vai, Carlos Santana...
