Kingdom Hearts Sora menu

I made this wall for the perpose of looking much like the menu before you start the game that's why the back is all white. I did make changes to Sora, he's mostly black and with except for the green/blue I left. I think it made a nice touch. The thing I'm conserned about is the Kingdom Hearts sign I don't know if it's okay the way it is or if I should change it. Please tell me what I could improve.

Actually, I put everything together myself. The KH title I had to cut out of a image. I made everything else except I just edited Sora for blue tones. It's really simple I know but the point was for it to look like the menu screen. Plus Kingdom Hearts 2: Final Mix isn't out in English yet . . . I wanted to make the title screen for it. The size is a result of photobucket being dumb and making it smaller than it actually is. It's suppose to be 1024 x 859 but I have to find an image hosting site that'll make it that size with out screwing it like photo bucket is right now. Have any image hosting site suggestions?

The scan quality is really bad
Im sure you can find better ones in the scan section here at AP

Well the scan I think is just fine but I did look for a scan like it in the scan section of ap but I don't have enough papers for it and I'm guessing it's no better than the one I have. (With my luck it'll be exactly the same as mine.) But until I get a new scan or if I do, here's revised image: (Is the menu at the bottom and the title a little less pixelated or did I make it worse or is there no difference?)

Two words:
JPEG artifacts
They suck. If you're going to use that image clean up it's edges and see if there is a less crappy version of it. As for the logo, I'm sure there is a higher quality version out there. As for the font: it isn't an official rule but it should be embedded in the mind of everyone; never use Comic Sans MS. It is the tackiest of all fonts ans should never be used in a wall. The whole wall is pretty boring and could use more body.
And don't forget to save as PNG when you repost as it is superior to all for static images~

• You need to work on the quality of both scans… you could try blurring it a little to get those pixel effects vanished. Overall it’s a nice idea ( the menu before you start the game idea that is) but that doesn’t mean you can’t add some more background effects.

Trust me you can get way better quality scans of the pictures
if not use a soft brush to erase the grain lines around the scan
then duplicate the layer, on the duplicated layer use noise --> median at around 8px
then blend the layer with overlay at around 60-90% opacity which ever works best
the images should look much better
i strongly recommend cleaning up the images beore you progress as id hate to see you spending time and in the end its of poor quality

I guess I must have a bad judgement of quality. I'm looking for better images, but I'm still new at this. Once I get a images clean then I'll try putting more to the background. (because I guess I'm the only one who likes it plain and simple) Thank you much for your help AssasinXXX, I'll try what you said. I'm kind of hard at understanding some things because I've never done much of this before and I guess that really shows in my work. What's a softer brush? (Yeah I know I'm dumb and I'm new, but I want to get better. >.< I mostly learn by trial and error.) Thank you all for your comments. I'll try to have a revised image up soon. Maybe within a day or so.

I like the concept...but first I'll answer your questions.
If you use photoshop, a softer brush are the brushes that aren't as hard around the edges as the default brushes. If you scroll down in Basic Brushes, you should see them. I don't think the problem is that it's nice and clean--it's that the complexity of the stock and every other element basically makes us think that the bg is going to be similarly complex...but it's not. XD
You don't have to find other images, you could easily clean up the logo by a) vectoring or b) smudging/blurring stuff. Also, the New Game stuff looks a bit pixellated...you could probably just type that out. XD Nice concept though.

Thank you much for the advice aznxenocide, it’s really helpful. I’ll try that on the next revision of this wall. To tell you right now: I’m still not done with it so this isn’t the final or anything and I would still like to know what needs to be improved. And yes, in the next revision I will fix up the title.

The load is a bit too erased...
You should try to have more water cause it gives to the wall some colour... Can't be wrong! ^_^
About the character it looks pretty blurry but not in a wrong way for once... Normally I would say it needs some work but here I don't know... It looks pretty nice right now... Although you have a grey spot that could be erased under his right arm...
If your character is looking at the title... You should put it a bit higher (the title) to explain the character position... He's not looking right in front of him but a bit upper I think.
Don't care about being noob here and asking questions... Session Zero is here to allow improvements in the walls and in the techniques!

Okay, I've been very busy this week and it was hard to post. Anyway, I would ' like' to add more water if I knew how to properly because I'm new at this so it just might make it worse in the end but I could try. (Well apparently I’m new because I'm here of course) I only recently got myself into the graphic design section of art, I’m more of a language and drawing sort of art person. (That doesn’t mean I’m good at them either) Though I would like to improve on many types of art forms because I love art. ^-^ LOVE! (Too bad art doesn’t love me *sigh*) Anyway here's one of my finals (well at least I hope it's one of my finals) please look at it and I might actually put one up with more water is necessary.
