crit please! Also, I can't decide which version I like more. The only difference is the gradient overlain. I'm sort of leaning towards the one sans gradient...but eh. *shrug* advice?
It's really nice... but some how it's cheesy, as if this was the beginning scene for a cartoon song or something.
Couldn't they be actually doing something? Like on a team mission or trip.
Maybe casual life. Maybe they're having a meeting.
It's just my opinion, but I wish wallpapers would do more than just have characters grinning.
It makes me hesitate to use anime wallpapers because it's as if I'm advertising the show or I really miss my "best buds from long time ago".

I like the bottom one. I think the top one, the black space without the gradient seems to me like an empty void and that something needed to go in there, so I like the bottom one more.

This could be just a personal perference thing, but I do not really like the shape of the why not sign; it just seems kind of weird, in a what is that thingy way; it also cuts off the sun quite awkwardly too.
So you think without the black castle thing'd be better? just the rays?

Without gradient = better. The second one doesn't look as awesome D: I would suggest, if you're going for a POP!art-ish look on this wall that you clean up the scan [unless it has a texture overlay on it... if it doesn't, just clean up the scan XD]. Then, vector each character's body [not their clothes, only their body] in one main color [I would demonstrate, but... it would look too crappy because I wouldn't be putting the time and effort into it that you would :D]. That way, it'll be a) very, very original and b) it would fit more with the BG that you have right now.
