As an animation, Bakemonogatari has a simple, clean art style. But the guest illustrations for the series are anything but simple! So, it's great to see that °Tens took on a more complex illustration and made it his own with vector gradients so fine at points it more resembles painting that vectoring. Do have a look at this beautiful wallpaper!

Most people might say," Of course it is! What can you do if you failed in every subject?". So, I'll answer that question with a real-life story first.

So, it happened two weeks ago at the computer class on the third floor of my school. You see, I was having a "field" computer exam about "Microsoft Excel : The VLOOKUP formula" that day. The computer class has two turns since the computer room is pretty cramped so half the class go up first and the rest stays in the class for Conversation class. I'm in the second turn.

When it was our turn, something bad happened in the room; tears are all over the place (so everyone in the second goes this>>> .(-_-). emoticon). The first guys were apparently DEFINITELY create major failures. Most of them rather taking it quite okay but there was two whose reactions are.../(oOo)#

One of them (she's ranked 8th last semester), was panicking and crying a river (>>p(ToT)q emoticon). The teacher said her formula wouldn't work and, well, she's been like that the whole exam. But yet a worse one happened; the other girl (she ranked 7th last semester, really smart in Biology and Math) had failed hers and passed out on her way back to class.

Thanks to these terrors, the teacher decided to had a theory exam and canceled the field exams (not only those two, nearly the whole firsts failed! .(-c-). emoticon) and the seconds had a practice instead. In the end, I got 95 (included extra marks, read: it's around A in Singapore's system) for the theory. A bit disappointing, but safe :| emoticon

Not long after that, this week, the girl (who passed out) cried again because she got 85 (say it's around B) for her sociology. Note: She's kidding me! P(>_<) emoticon I got 80 for the crap and didn't cry (just a stab through the heart (x_x) emoticon)

So, do you guys think its worth it? Passed out because of failure? I'd even say this is still the light cases. Some people even hanged themselves because of exams (while some of them actually passed it).

I know if you're out of the school as a failure, it'll be very hard to get a job to live through this era. But does it really have to end with suicide? There are lots of successful people out there who are actually not very well educated; only some experiences and a strong will. So I think it's quite meaningless to take your own life because of the red numbers shown on your report books (Okay, maybe I'll passed out for a few weeks if it happened on me). Life is precious and we can't just throw it away like that, don't you think so?

These people are too driven with results and yes despite the fact that this is reality. it also shows one thing. they have been so successful that they had not experience failure. Without learning what failure is right now during schooling, it will be tougher to withstand such blows to you once you go into the working society. In my opinion, they should learn to get up and understand that failure and success comes hand in hand, nothing is perfect. It is true that some people put in extreme amount of effort and yet could not get the results they desire, but at this moment they should reflect whether what they do is still applicable, for example change their study strategy instead of the same old one to increase efficiency?

Bad exam results = Suicide?

I don't think so, it would be pretty meaningless to waste your life based on your exam results. I know, it's especially important in the senior years, but seriously, picking up the knife isn't the way to go, it's how well you recover which is all that matters. Nothing is perfect, exam scores can fluctuate, and depending on what you do, there's a chance to maintain stability. If you know that you've studied well and adequate enough, but still end up getting a bad mark, then I can understand, but if you didn't put in the effort, then it's your own fault.

True. But most of my classmates wouldn't think like that. They grew up getting perfect scores during primary. Trust me, if they get even 70, one of them might cry a lake, let alone failed.

It's quite normal to cry when one gets bad results...but committing suicide? That's too over in my opinion. People who hang themselves when they fail a test are too...how to say...either they have extremely low self esteem or they have low EQ. Both are equally bad.

Low self esteem is because they might think that they are worth only what that's printed in their report books, and anything else about them are not important. I mean, life is not all about studies, we have to face a lot of other obstacles along the way. Some of the people in my school are like that: they get really good results, but they simply don't know how to do anything else, like sports and such, and they are bad in socializing with other people.

Low EQ is because they don't understand life. If one gives up just because of a failure, he or she is very immature, and if I'm harsh, I will say that they are stupid =.=

Anyway, it's absolutely pointless to give up life just because of failing a test, though more students are doing it these days...I wonder why? Is it because of the distorted education system that puts pressure on students?

That could be it. But IMO, I think it's the way they were raised.. Parents need to teach them reality and life lessons are early as possible, so they don't become suicidal. I've noticed that modern parents nowadays just don't seem to raise children right, they would rather just give children food, shelter, education, but nothing else that really matter.. The disease of modern times.. neglect.

I personally had experienced exam failures, not only once, but many times... I even had an exam where I got a score of 0, that's right I didn't get even one item correct! I really felt down that time, as I was the only one who got a big fat zero on my exam, the final exam that is!
But I didn't sulk or anything, I just moved on and said to myself that things like that happen, it just happens... When things like that happen, just review for the next exam, it's not the end of the world, you can always catch up if you really try.
But, sadly, that's not always the case. I know many students take failing so seriously, some commit suicide, from the fear of what their parent will think and say to them.
I am lucky that I have parents that understand that a person can't be perfect, that people cannot pass ALL exams that come across in their lives. Here's my tip about exams and quizzes: Just pass most of them! xD

I've never failed a major exam before, but I've definitely failed quizes and small stuff like that. If you study hard and find help you shouldn't fail any big test. Even in math I worked my ass off for 5 months, going to tutoring almost everyday and spending the rest of the time dedicated to practicing math, I had only a bit of time at the end of each day to have a bit of fun. I guess it's effort that pays off

I understand how the people who feel bad even if they passed their exams. Cos sometimes its not enough in life to just pass. Its the society these days that value ther cert over everything, and to get the certs and advance, you need results that are better then just passing.
For me if i fail, usually i'll expect it, so i'll just go: "Great i failed, time to buck up for the next test". Sometimes it'll go with a tinge of regret and some self hate but hey, gotta pick yourself up.

Its quite a bad feeling to fail exam...especially if you're normally get great results...however commiting suicide over a bad result is ... selfish and depriving one self of any chance of making it back up again.

I've been in the pits before, failing courses...but you still have chances to recover. So learn from the mistakes and come back roaring away instead of ending your life over a single result.

Failing an exam is indeed bad for me.

Assuming this was in early Childhood, failing a test means:
scolding from parents
beating from parents
future reminders of your failure(s) from your parents
they wont ever forget the failure
you bring shame on to your parents
your cousins think lower of you
your parents may invest more in your brothers or sisters if any as the "next hope"

Assuming this is now:
you just feel really bad because you just screwed up your GPA.
you just feel really bad because you just threw yourself in a ditch in the class.
you just feel really bad!

true, you DONT HAVE TO feel like such, or even care what others think. But for your own sake, some guilt is definately normal and healthy for control and discipline and good grades have their benefits that I need not mention... but otherwise the "I dont care" attitude here is leading down a bad path, unless your naturally confident that you will pull up your grades (which is not my case most of the time)

These exams play a very big part in life (well, atleast in most cases). You see, many exams determine your SAT scores (of course, those are your SAT tests, duh). You do want to get a good score count on those because they could affect your chances into getting into a college. As we all know (or atleast most of us), the higher your SAT scores, the better chance you got into getting into a college. Going to college also plays a big part in our lives, seeing as how college degrees are worth a lot of money, and also affects your chances into getting certain jobs and becoming what you want to be in your life.

Most of your future, I believe, determines what kind of college you'll have and what kind of future. Basically, it's a pretty big deal.

If I did bad on an exam like that, I'd probably freak out. I have high hopes for my future, and most of it has to do with going to college and getting my degree. If I don't do well in the SAT tests, chances are, I won't be going to college...

It really matters for me because I go to a pretigious school so I need to get good grades. Our exams really play a big part in our grade (the other one is the projects). And if I don't pass a subject, I have to take it again and I'll be delayed on my studies. Not mention, that failing on an exam, breaks my morale...

In my opinion,I think the thought of suicide shouldnt come no matter what.
Life is full of UPS and DOWNS,we are currently students,so test and exam is a challenge for us,whether you pass or fail this exam,it is a just one of the many challenges you will face in your entire life...
When it is time for you to enter the society, you will again face challenges be it failed interview or bad working environment...so if you cant even cope or overcome the challenge of exam, what are you going to do in the future...
But of course, life maybe filled with challenges, however happiness and enjoyment does occur too!
So why not we overcome the current challenge for the awaiting good moments in life!
Hope everyone will think of the motive of living and all the friends that you care and family which cares about you before thinking about the silly thought of suicide...

It rare for me to have failure exam but i have ever experience that. My Biology score is 63 and that s under 65. Another lesson is 50 that's the worst score i've ever had.
