It used to scare me. I used to shake and stutter whenever I was asked to speak in public in school but then I got used to it. We did it often enough in school that it doesn't bother me anymore. Besides, I'm not really the shy type.
Even though i normally avoid doing things in front of people, when i have to (say, give a speech for a project or have a performance of some sort), i do it all out...no reluctance at all...i enjoy speaking in front of people when i have to, but i try not to when i dont...
Yeah, I hate it at first time! But, if you already at university, you should speak in front of people!
So, you should train yourself from now on!

Yup, me too...I really hate it when I have to speak in front of people...I get all shaky and worst I tend to say stupid things...Ughh!! It's so humiliating...
It depends.. what i have to say, and how many people, and who is that people O_o, if it is in my classroom, i don't care, but if i have to say many stuffs like talk about aerodinamic in front of proffesionals and many middle age people, i just freeze and i don't remember anything >.<

I dislike speaking and not being listened to, people always say what ? or huh ? just so they can have an extra 3 secs to think about what you said and what theyre gonna say even though they heard you.

I didn't mind it when I was still living in Singapore, I used to perform on stage and everything.
But now that I'm studying in New Zealand I get kind of nervous. I guess I feel kind of self conscious since I'm Chinese and different from everyone else. I also speak with a different accent, although I have no problem with English, which is my first language. >.<

Yup, hate it from the bottom of my heart. Thankfully it's not so obvious to the listeners these days, but when I was younger, I would shake and stutter and sweat and be almost unable to breath. Oral reports were the worst thing I knew, and would stress about them for weeks before the actual thing.
The funny thing is, a few weeks ago I gave a talk on a book I'd read, and the teacher - who is also a teacher of drama, customer service and oratory - said I was a very charismatic speaker, with the ability to make people interested in what I had to say. This came as a total surprise to me, as I've always seen myself as the total opposite.

I talk with confidence, I want to be heard and I talk loud. With that, I am not afraid of speaking, especially if they are listening, even if they are not, I make sure they do.
I have not much of a stage fear in giving speeches and so on, I do however fear singing in front of people.

ani-blueWow everyone hates speaking. I love it!!
Totally. Ecspecially when I'm not reading some boring report, public speaking is one of my favorite things to do. Entertaining people is just wonderful.
Hmmm.. yes, i hate... i freeze... my hands get all wet... and if i'm holding a paper.. it starts to shake a lot.. haha. Yes.. and it depends on the people too.. Like my class.. i have no problems.. i get a little bit nervous to talk.. just that.
What i really care is my grade.. xD So... And from example last year... at least half of my whole class was 'brainless' if this word exists.. So.. if i say bullshit, they woukd believe in it. Now i know all my classmates and they are awesome ^^ have no problems with them.. ^^
On the other hand.. if i don't know who i'm speaking to.. all that feelings from the begging come.. >_<

I always get extremly nervous and sometimes my legs even shake. But when I stand in front of everyone thinking how will this end, it always somehow works out and afterwards it feels like a brand new day and nothing can make me lose my temper or disturb me. But to get used to it you must do it nomerous times and it's nothing you can't overcome.
Na i am cool with it ... i was raised infront of crowds and people... so i am all good with it and i feel comfortable on stage... well speaking.,.. i like singing but i get all uptight bout that... haha

It's fun speaking out loud in front of people but there are times when they just say "Huh?...I don't get it.."
