Futakoi Alternative 3D Render
Boy, I suck at predicting things.
Anyways, this took around 50 hours to create, most of which was not the modeling of the room but rather tweaking the scene to create a perfect atmosphere. Of course in the process I got to learn a couple of really neat things (like how to make the curtains flow ^_^). Anyways, this certain image took 2 hours to render (I had rendered another one beforehand but that one was crummy...oh, and that one also took 2 hours...) and another hour to edit in Photoshop to my liking. (And then another hour trying to figure out why my Imageready wasn't working >_<). So, I hope you guys like it, and if not a few constructive comments wouldn't hurt either.

but anyway it's really good!
Good luck
Of course, for those people who haven't watched the show I highly doubt they know how those cups have anything to do with the anime.
It's sorta like feathers and AIR, they just seem to go together.

Unblurred the background and changed up the clouds a little bit. Yeah, that's about it.

I hate to rain on your parade EndlessBlue but if the image remains essentially your 3D work it won't be submittable. That's not to say that you haven't put sufficient effort into the image but in its present state its fan art and is not submittable as per the submission guidelines.
Perhaps you could integrate the character from the original scan into the image to address this.
Does fan art have to have some item directly from the official series? Or is it merely the concept that makes it fan art? And what if you have fan art based on another piece of fan art? Would that make it fan art too or something completely different?
And must all wallpapers here be fan art, or can there be originality in the limited space that is defined as "fan art"?
BTW, comments are still welcomed...legal or not I still want this wallpaper to look pleasing ^_^

EndlessBlueSo what's the difference between fan art and original art?

Wow...that last comment made me quite confused <brain cramp> But...honestly...I really don't see why EndlessBlue can't submit it...I see the 3D rendering kind of vectoring...he just copied the picture in order to make it clearer/better in general...Just as long as he doesn't submit it as a scan it seems fine to me...
But to Endless Blue: the difference between fan art and original art is that original art is an image that you created on your own from your own mind...while fan art is recreating the idea of another artist (roughly anyway) For example...say you just decided to draw a girl...any girl that you just designed on your own recently...and then you liked it so much that you decided to wall it...that would be considered original art...
and cups with faces on them?
That was what made it totally cute!!
But I do understand that you are a new member and eager to participate...there's nothing wrong with that! ^_^
