Robin WP-revised
1 Page: [ 1 ]
Greetings all
as i mentioned above, i'm a newbie, both in photoshop and in animepaper here. therefore i hope you will be kinder in criticism ;)
you could easily tell that there is nothing much to say about the background as it is jet black. there are two reasons for that: first i like dark backgrounds in WP, second i find it easier to work on since the colour don't fade on it.
as for the brushes - you see i played with them thoroughly- all are by Vered, the brush extraordinaire. you can find them and much more at v-brush.
the fonts are from fontfreak. both in my previous wallpaper choices and in my XF collage favourites, i prioritised fonts and what the maker of that image was saying. i still think words are more important than images, so well picked words and well picked art add up quite beautifully.
doesn't mean i think i achieved that here. first of all, uploading the image took me a great while. the original image is 1280x960 pixels, no worries.
as for the robin scan... well i found it long ago. extracted from another wallpaper i guess, i looked for an original scan for this pose and couldn't find it anywhere. still, i worked on the borders for a long while. smoothed out the flecks around it, played a little with the eyes. they weren't as green as i wanted them.
so, please tell me what you think. i know i lack quite much.

Hey StarbuckJr...welcome to AP!
But...umm...you didn't upload your wallpaper yet...It would make life a bit easier for us commenters to...well...comment if we could see it ^_^
I'm not really sure if you just forgot to upload the image...or you don't know how...
But just in case...I'll tell you how now! ^_^
Upload your wallpaper to imageshack...there are many other hosting sites out there...but this is the best one and most recommeded for use...then after uploading...copy either the website and paste it here (by either just copy and paste...or by using the handy url button between the strike-out and the img buttons)...or you could just copy the Thumnails Forum 1 off of imageshack and paste that here...
Good luck on your wall! ^_^

i forgot :D
thanks for the warning. i spent three hours trying to upload an image that wasn't bigger than 200kb to photobucket. with a dial-up connection, it's no wonder. (yes, yes, i live on earth)
if photobucket turns out to be problematic in the future, i'll surely use imageshack.
so, what is your opinion?

I like it, its really nice, but there is a problem with the text, remove the embose effect on the text, that way it would look more blended in rather than look apart from it.
Thanks for encouraging and the advice. i tried to lessen the shine of letters.
