This wallpaper gives us a perfect example of how a simple manga scan can be turned into a beautiful vector. Not only did danalm trace the lineart, but he also added amazing details and a simple, yet wonderful background. Furthermore, the wallpaper shows us how the monochromatic style can make your work look really interesting.

Well...I know this anime from my friend and she said if this is a good anime. So I tried to watch it but until now I still don't finish watch it because I don't buy the CD but I watch it every friday at the special program for anime.

For me, It is a great anime but I think it is too much mistery in it. I'm not sure that the mistery will recover on the end.

It did'nt had much action to it but I like the artworks. I once thought of it as a horror and action type.

The series is good, but not that good... Has a decent plot, and a decent ending for that matter...

But, still, it has very little action, not meaning battles or something like that, but ther are moments when the characters just keep talking and talking...

I give it a 7 out 10.

Though the anime was the first "contact" I had with the entire Tsukihime concept, I liked it but it felt like something was missing. And after some minucious research, I found out why:

The anime lacks a lot of details from the original Tsukihime PC game. I don't mind the sex scenes, but lots of things were cut from it:

-Kohaku's and Hisui's past (but well.. yeah, trying to manage it would be hard as hell :/ ).

-Characters like Aoko (gawd, she's not a serious bitch like in the anime but the opposite! And she has a major role!) and Ren (where is she?!).

-Satsuki's tragic destiny (... well, in some way I'm happy she didn't suffer like in the game).

-Ciel's weapons (A TRIDENT? WTF?!).

-The abilities of other chars (Akiha... ;_____; ).

-Shiki's personality (DAMN! SHIKI IS NOT SHINJI IKARI! They made him incredibly pessimistic in the anime!).

... well, at least I can still get the manga (that also features chars from Melty Blood, like Sion and Warakia :) ) and get the PC game ^^

Yea i just finished watching the anime around last week. Im kinda confuse if Arcuied is one of the Shinso how come she died at the end after living for a long time. and the other Shinso (the one possess the other shiki) how come he can regen so easily >.> . I probably missed the part wen then explained it but can someone tell me HOW? and during the flash back. was it Kohaku who was in the window? or was it Hisui?

That's what I disliked from the Tsukihime anime. Lots of questions are unsolved, and if you haven't played the PC game, you will miss lots of details.

The Hisui and Kohaku part is sort of hard to explain, as well as the stuff related with the dead apostoles (Arcueid, Roah, Warakia, etc.).

I'll try to find more information and post it here.

The anime was pretty good in my opinion, but the ending was little "empty." I guess the anime could have used some more action scenes but I guess. This anime was based on an old dating sim game, which like spawned sequels and even a fighting game "Melty Blood." That game is awesome, but hard to find now these days.

Tsukihime is intriguing the first time around, but it doesn't lend itself to re-watching as much as one might think. The pleasure of watching it lies in enjoying its dark, mysterious atmosphere (which is complemented by haunting music) as well as in trying to piece together the storyline. The artwork and animation aren't the greatest, but some of the scenes do look quite inspired, visually speaking, so it's not as though it's difficult on the eyes. Unfortunately, I didn't find the characters to be as compelling or the story to be as satisfying the second time around. It is a good example of an anime with a powerful atmosphere, though.

I havent played the game, nor read the manga, but i like the anime. I guess I'll read the manga, and play the game 'can anyone tell me the name of the game', cause I got interested in a few things previously mentioned. So Even if its not perfectly complete, it was pretty enjoyable, maybe 'cause i havent known more about it like those who played the game/watched the manga, so I haven't missed much. Arcueid-s character is awsomely - kawaii. And the entire aura of the anime is good. Or - I think so.

well, i can explain that... true ancestors are immortal, not invinceable.. of course they can die but not by normal means.. =p

as for the Shiki possessed by Roa as to why he can regenerate so quickly.. it's just normal regeneration i believe.. Arcuied was weakened by Shiki so she probably can't regenerate that quickly... that's my guess... i might look up some info later on though to confirm that..

I have the DVD Set, but have not seen it yet, to many Animes to watch already. I bought it because I liked the Trailer and the story sounded good to. It also looks like it is dark, and that`s great :)
