Clannad Anime Discussion
Since this subforum is rather empty I'll just start a thread. What do you think of this new series?
I personally liked the first episode, but it's easy to see where the anime comes from. It just felt like watching Kanon again. I just hope that Clannad will leave a better impression on me than Kanon did (it wasn't bad but it wasn't really good either).
I think I'll wait for the second episode to decide if I'm going to watch this series every week or if I'll just watch it when it's finished.

First of all, i found that this series was good only after i gave it a chance. If Eclipse and Static-Subs didn't sub it i would of left this series in the dark. I usually try not to watch Key related stuff... they tend to be depressing.

I really really love it. Ive got book, the visual novel of it, pictures and artboks of Clannad. They look so good. I like the TV version more than the movie. The first episode is so nice. Tomoyo is cool and Nagisa is so nice. Sunohara is funny... could laugh all the time. I love the TV series.
SPOILER (click to view)It has the same opening feel as Haruhi 01 (black and white in beginning, ohmahgawd color again) and the same mien as Kanon. I'm expecting loads of Clannad wallpapers and scans as this series progresses.
Saw episode two yesterday.
@ Eviltape: you don't even have to wait for loads of scans and wallpapers. Animesuki's image thread is already seven pages long.

I should of kept the game lil bit more longer. I use to have this game on PS2, but due to lil bit boring (no voice, crappy bgm) I sold it on ebay.... 
But it spose to come out on xbox360 next year so I might buy that.
Anyways, as for anime, it's pretty good! It's funnier than game.
I should start reading the Manga ver. of it too.

The only reason im watching clannad is because its new and i havent really watched anime when it just comes out in the past, plus i liked Air. Dunno about kanon though not my type of anime.

The art is the same as Air and Kanon because they are all from Key which is,for those who might not know,a visual novel studio.About the anime itself,though it follows the same trend as Air and Kanon,it has an awesome character design and I liked Air quite a lot so I guess it can only be good...

After watching the second episode of this series it is turning out to be very interesting. I have no experience with this series and only started watching it because SS was subbing it. I am most interested the the female in the world where nothing is born or dies.
Oh god, do I love Clannad so far. I love it because it's so character driven and characters are really important to me in shows, games, etc. Even though it's apparently a high school romance, Clannad doesn't seem to stick to a thousand typical extremely annoying stereotypes in a lot of other anime of it's genre and uses cheap humor and overdone fanservice to lure in audiences. I love all the characters so far especially the main girl, Nagisa. I love her entire family, actually...they remind me of my own parents. Which is scary, yes. ^^ LOL@ spectator's view, that was hilarious.
I'm on episode 2 right now and the girl in the art room was INCREDIBLY moelicious, good god. She's adorable and will probably turn out to be my favorite character next to Nagisa.
...Now waiting for episode 3 to be fansubbed~~~
(Out of curiousity, is Kanon licensed or been subbed yet? I never got the chance to watch it, but based on what other people are saying, it's similar to Clannad, so...)

@ Airgrapht: Kanon is subbed by Eclipse. It is also licensed by ADV films. I don't think there are any dvd's yet though.

I don't know much about the visual novel disk and the other animes related to it, like Kanon and Air so I don't know what to expect from it. I just clicked on this new anime this season, and there, enjoyed myself.
Though it was only 2 episodes, it was good and hilarious too not to mention the awesome art and animation. I'm definitely going to follow this one. Tomoyo and Kyou rocks!

I really enjoyed the first episode too ^^ i think it might end up being better than kanon and air tv :P i love the main character ^^ he has blue hair :D
