I was born in Canada but... my dad is Vietnamese and my mom is Phillipino. (A not so very odd mix)
I can understand Vietnamese but I can only speak a little; and as a bonus I can differentiate the differences between Cantonese, Vietnamese and Mandarin. Not so surprisingly I can't understand or speak any phillipino. Most of my life I have been speaking Cantonese in my household but that doesn't mean I am illiterate in English!!
Most people don't know what my nationality is by simply looking at me because I'm a mix. My friends say that I look more viet than phil. Surprisingly I'm tanned unlike most viets I know.

I was born in America, but with the mix nationalities of my parents, am actually American, Polish, German, Russian and French. I understand and am fluent in English (both American and British), Polish and learning moreso French. German and Russian I hope to learn after Italian and Japanese, heh.

I'm probably the first one on this thread (that I've seen so far) to say that I'm Indian :hehe: I was born and raised in Canada and I'm still currently in Canada!
I'm a born and raised American. I live in Ohio, (underneath the second Great Lake on the right,) and I only speak English. My parents are both Americans too, but overall my nationality is 50% Slovak, 50% assorted. After all, there are only a few million in America that are true Americans.
