This wallpaper captures the urban essence that proliferated the art of Ghost in the Shell in every incarnation of the series. Phill does an amazing job of capturing a moment of surrealism.

While there are a few, stray building angles and shadows, you find that your eye forgives the minor details and instead focuses on the overall scene that is larger than life, with lights trailing off into infinity.

I like the simplicity of AMG but the work that you have right now...seems a bit too simple...

i like the scan's placement and the words' font is nice too but there just seems something lacking...

in the white space on the left you could fill it with the sky/clouds or have some other pretty pattern

the way it is right now...i feel like i'm looking at a puzzle that has 20~25% of its drawing missing and i want to fill it in as quickly as possible

i'm sure you could put in somethin simple in the negative space and make it look awesome

good luk^^

Looks ok, but it's just a scan covered with white and some text. I'm sorry if it sounds harsh, but I don't think it'll be accepted. I'm almost certain you didn't even modified the scan, or extracted or vectored it or whatever. But I'm going to make sure.

Yup, found it. http://www.animepaper.net/gallery/scans/Ah-My-Goddess/item1482/

I'm sorry.

Oh, ok. Well do scans have to be altered in anyway for them to be considered for wallpaper? sorry, Im just curious ^^ for the record though, the scan was edited slightly by increasing the contrast, and like you said, placement.

If it's still "too simple" then maybe I will add some other stuff to it, although i think it's already a use-able composition, but then again, i wasn't sure how the criteria here works, so my apologies ^^

Anyways, thank you both for your replies and input! Btw, does that mean I can't submit anything else until this is either rejected or accepted?

If you submitted to the gallery, you have to wait until it's either rejected or approved to submit another. If by submitting you mean here in session zero there's no problem.
The criteria are stated at the faq. I know it's a usable wallpaper, but we're trying to save your from the rejection and the paper fine here ^^U
FAQ
Refer to Submission Guide.
Once you come up with your idea I'll gladly try to help as much as I can. Normally people extract the scan, using the pen tool is the best. Personally I vector-re cg my source material, but just extracting is ok.
I think it's stated in the guide that you can't use a solid color or gradient as background, and it needs to be a more elaborated thing.
Hope that helps...!

Oh thank you! and yes, that helps immensely! I'm not very good with recreating artworks so I mostly just add design to the wallpaper ^_^ Ok, I'll try to see if I can submit something with a little bit more design after this has been rejected (hopefully not) or accepted :D

thanks again! :D
