FF8 wasnt the best =/ I preferred 9 over 8, and like a lot of other people i recommend 7 and 10

Wait! Is it 8 or 6 your referring to? You have 8 in the title but you say 6 in your post???
Well whatever your downloading, 8 has a decent story that alot of people liked. 10 is one of the best ever combining both great story and fighting. This is Equal to 7 which was just as good & revolutionary, a lot of people started with this one. 9 was created by a different producer which is why it is sooo different from the others in the series. I think only 10% of people who owned the game were able to bear with the game long enough to finish it. 6 and back to the golden days, all are pretty great in their own way. This is too be expected since they did lay the ground work for the series.
so if your downloading #8, I think you will be pleased. Out of every one of the FF's I have played (and I actually have played them all. :/ ) This one was one i liked playing through. If nothing else, the limit breaks are just fun to play with.

I really didn't like this game, at all.
Story was decent, and was set in an interesting world, but I just didn't get into it as much as I did other FF's. Gameplay felt a bit odd, and you have to build the character's right to level right, which I didn't like at all.

In 8 you could just whore in island closes to heaven and hell at the end to level everyone to 100 ^^ my problem with 8 was omega weapon was too easy...
omega weapon was too easy...
omega weapon too easy?!?!?!? are you a god from games? i have beaten him easily the second time i faced him!
and responding to the topic, the junction system was one of the most elaborated system of leveling up, just losing to FF tactics, i recommend, for the story, level system and Squall, Riona and Seifer!
FF 8 was the first RPG i played when i was 14 , for now , according to all element of this game , it's still a good RPG for you .
I recommend : chrono cross , you should try it as well

I disliked the junction system =/ all you did was tag things like ultima, quake, death etc etc >_> though i admit it was fun to mess around with it. also eden square spamming was fun.
i had so much more trouble from emerald weapon, ruby weapon, ozma, all the combination bosses, the dude at the bottom of bevelle underground and the like :x

Omega was too easy? Were you cheating it up, so you could get 100 holy wars or somethin? (Sorry, but that ain't right...)
8 was an excellent story and is a great game. The Hironobu fans usually use it as a fault to point out, but it's as different from the "old School" RPG's as FFXII is. If you like romantic storylines, lush backstory and powerful heroes you'll like it just fine.

Actually youll find that if you trade in one of the upper level cards you will get 10 holy wars or something... dont remember too much, was awhile ago.
being level 100 on all 3 characters and just about fully buffed probably helped too... which brings up another complaint: it was too easy to max out ^^;;

Lol I have to say there was only one that's possible HAX's!!!!
Oh but that reminds me!. 8 is different then the others in that the monsters lvl up with you!
As you get tougher and stronger, so do they!
I beat the final boss lady in like 6 rehoukoukens limit breaks at lvl 60
but my hard core save where I am lvl 100+, took like 20 Rehoukogens. She had gotten that much stronger.
Omega lvl's up in the exact same way. Except he is already invicible :P
Maybe you are thinking of the Ultimate weapon that has that one summon you cap, now he was easy. But omaga! you HAD to have holy potions or such that made ya immortal for a while, or else you were dead. The game designers themselves said in a interview way back, that they made him like that to illistrate just how tough Omega is supposed to be in theory.
Anyway yea, this is one of the only FF where the lvl cap was removed so you could keep lvling up, and the mosters did too. Personally I only enjoyed the story on some lvl. Everything else, especially the magic capping was too annoying. But I somehow played though it and enjoyed it.
I wouldn't! It blows compared to Chrono Tigger. Play that one instead! It lays the ground work for all RPG's everywhere just like the FF series. The only people I know who liked CC were because they never played CT. Which is sad considering all the tie-in's to the story it has. How someone could play CC and understand the story with not playing C Trigger is hard to believe.

i would recommend too, CC complement the story of Chrono Trigger, and the battle system, was an better version of the system on CT, i only doens't liked the way to invoke the summons, it was too difficult.

come to think of it i really have no idea then -_-;; maybe i was just imagining it... bah this is annoying
Googling 'holy ward ff8 card' came up with this "Ten Holy Wars can be obtained by card modding Gilgamesh's card."
i guess ultimately i could go check to see if i have the proof of omega =/
