acne...ewwww
I don't have a problem with acne but i still use a face mask regulary or some kind of cleanser. i'd say neutragena or cetaphil are very good.
My dermatologist also said that your diet doesn't affect your acne. He said it was hereditary, which makes since because my parents both had it bad and I have EVIL MUTANT ACNE. I'm serious.
Proactiv did nothing but discolor my shirts. Accutane, which was supposed to knock out my acne for AT LEAST two years, only worked for a little over one. Now I'm on some antibiotics and I have a topical cream (which makes my face peel, but at least I was zit-free). They worked for a while, but now my acne has come back with a vengeance. I swear, it's like some sort of super mutant beast... You can try one thing on it for a while, but then it grows stronger and mutates to absorb your attack!
I do reccomend Accutane. But you have to have a blood test... and other stuff to take it. I might see if I can go back to that the next time I go see my dermatologist. The only reason I decided on the antibiotics instead of Accutane was because of the side-effects. Accutane really dries out your skin, especially your hands and lips. I had to carry lip mosturizer with me wherever I went and put it on at least 4 times a day. Lotion was also a regular, and even then my hands were very dry (and they aren't at all usually--I rarely need lotion).

Omg! i have the same problem. i used oxy cleansers and they work the best. they dry out your skin and the "white stuff" in the acne and apparently it gets better through time.
I don't suffer from acne but my sister does, i recomend you use a product called "Vilantae" it's not a cream it's some kind of pill, it stops excessive skin oil from being released, the oil is the main cause of spots. My sisters been using it for 2 weeks now and shes already seen alot of difference already. It also prevents back, chest and shoulder acne, also reduces pore size, and has minimal side effects.
For me every morning and n=before I go to sleep I wash my face with St. Ives Apricot Radiance (acne mediacted),
I mean I tried Proactive Natures Cure biore and all that creme stuff but this cleanser helped me so much that in less than 2 weeks all my acne was gone :)
I was so happy and now I use that stuff everyday so I hope that helps you
P.S. dont touch your face, #1 rule and its so hard to break so try not to :)

Actually, greasy food can effect your skin.
try staying away from greasy/fried foods. eating the things that vbob has said should help as well. this may seem wierd but cutting a slice of tomato and rubbing it on your face is a good way to get rid of acne (i learned this from a scientist). this also might sound wierd buuuuuuuuuuut......before you go to bed, put some dabs of toothpaste on the spots you have pimples at and then go to bed, wake up, and wash it off. they turn so small and won't be as noticable.
home made facial scrubs and masks work well too. try searching 'homemade face wash' on google and u'll find a whole bunch of recipes.
oh yea, proactive really does work...
is really disgusting!

I use (lol. don't laugh) zit cream and-- believe it or not-- toothpaste. (not kidding. ) did you know that toothpaste has some of the best zit fighting crap out there in it? yeah, it really works. i hardly ever get zits with it. lol. sometimes, it gets caught in my hair though... ew.. but otherwise, it works. i'd recommend it to anyone. it clears you up fairly fast too. (normally otherwise i get a bunch of zits. lol.) yeah, it really reaally helps. tyr it for a week or two. PM me if it works.
