As an animation, Bakemonogatari has a simple, clean art style. But the guest illustrations for the series are anything but simple! So, it's great to see that °Tens took on a more complex illustration and made it his own with vector gradients so fine at points it more resembles painting that vectoring. Do have a look at this beautiful wallpaper!

Man if i was given the choice between living in the anime world and reality i would so choose anime. you can live an adventure, find romance. etc. well reality is like that too. sort of. with the added drama a bit. but it would be a lot more interesting in the anime world instead.

Living in the anime world... migth be abit too much but none the less cool. I would love to be Kira from gundam seed, going through all those intense battles and actions... i would love to be alot of characters... and i would love to me in an anime, but none the less, i can't, its not really possible, and illogical... unless Doraemon existed and i could join the anime world and change the story to the way i want it to end hehe

Definately Anime, Always would be the main character though. they rarely die, and the story is obviously centered somewhat around the main character. Yes there may be hardships, but with animes since it isnt our world, theres so much we envy in the world they live in. Supernatural powers, Futuristic machinery, no major worldly problems like we have. In animes its more like they live in a world where the world is for them. Where in our world, we strive to survive. i wouldnt mind putting my life in danger if its to protect someone important to me. Not to mention, hairstyles and clothes are always perfect looking.

Well...it's the fantasy of humanity...
Everything in anime drawn based on the real world. The artist made the art amazingly by increase the side of those interesting part of the body.
The Eyes can likely reflect the personality of a charracter, thats why every anime charracters's eyes are so big and crystal clear.
The Hair is also a very impotant part of the body for the beauty point. It's simple but really nice looking in anime.

Tough call. I've gone through phases where I daydream about being in anime character's situations, and such. But I really think things are fine the way they are in reality, so there is no need to escape it :)

Many an otaku has considered this question, and it's not surprising since a lot of anime is based on this same premise. a normal person living in a normal world suddenly encounters an extraordinary character and suddenly his boring, everyday life is changed forever, now who wouldn't want that?

Heh, it's because otakus are too afraid to go outside the real world and get a taste, it's way safer to just watch an anime and see a character that never dies (with some exceptions). There are a lot of extraordinary things, experiences and people out there. If you want to change your lifestyle for something more exciting then go and join a group (charity, religion...) that goes around the world or something like that. After all, reality can be way more shocking than fantasy ^^. If you can imagine it, then it's possible, just put your heart into it.

Well, it's depend of the anime lol

If it's as yoshitaka in He is my master, it could be great :D Even with this freaky alligator (but is it really an alligator by the way ?? ). But if it's in an anime like Shakugan no shana, it will be troublesome. It's not good to be a torch!

So I'll say that I prefer to be in reality than in an anime because the reality is more peacefull than anime world!

A good thing could to be able to travel in one or the other when we want to :)

indeed anime is escapism, sometimes people don't have the courage or the opportunity to take control of their own lives, so they look for something else to fill the void.

Well, it's depend of the anime lol

of course, as tempting as it is to live in the same world as asuka and rei, i still wouldn't really want to live in post-apocalyptic tokyo 3. ^_^'

hopefully even with some of us trying to escape the harsh reality of life by watching anime, we'd pick up a lesson or two, to quote chihiro when her father asked if she's scared of going to a new school:

i think i can handle it.

I prefer the real world because all what anime is is products of our imagination. Reality beats all. Wouldn't you get sick of having the perfect life everyday? Suffering and hardships pay off in this world, because there are always happpy times. ^_^
