Who would win in a battle, Unit-01 or Goku?
Yeah.....and even if shinji even killed Goku (which i doubt he could do) ....goku would just come back in spirit form...i think the dragon ball dragon alone could wipe out eva 01 hehe...and yeah...i think that would be considered one of goku's powers
I vote for Goku, because have no idea what Unit 01 is...

Hands down goku, he is probably the strongest anime character ever, the only person i think could beat him from any kind of made up world is Silver Surfer from Marvel Comics.
I'd vote for unit 01. It has AT field so it cancels attacks. Even if goku destroys the whole world, i think unit 01 would still survive...floating in space i guess. About that teleporting thing inside maybe it is the only weakness of unit 01. :D
Since a lot of people are in favor of goku. Why not make this a thread for who or what can kill goku?
Cooking master boy or the guy from yakitate japan could perhaps poison the food or sumthing. If i remember correctly, goku likes to eat a lot and i dont think he would be intimidated by them and think of them as threats. :D

LMAO good one.. But Goku has ONE weakness... NEEDLES- He hates getting shots ^^ SO who carries needles? Dr. Jackel from Get Backers.. ^^ Thats all I can think of... Plus Goku's stomach is a bottomless pit so if he eats poison he wouldnt notice it until he crapped it out orange or something.. -_-

I think it will be quite clear who the winner is... Goku of course since there is a large gap in the ability... Unit 01 can't handle the superior power of Goku especially when he reach the like of Super Saiyan 3 or even higher... I think if there would be some comparison it shoud be mecha to mecha...

2. Goku can teleport..so he could easily teleport inside the cockpit and kill the pilot..
3. SUPER SAIYAN! 1,2,3,4......so much power....
4. he can fire Kamehameha....and even though EVA-01 has an AT field...he could use a teleporting attack and fire...
so I'd say the odds are greately in Goku's favor...

There's only one problem with Goku using the Instant Transmission ability, he has to know what the pilot looks like! From what I can remember of DBZ, Goku said he had to picture the person/thing on his mind in order to use it, but I could be wrong since when Cell learned it, he said he could use it to travel to each planet, so I'm unsure about this, but my guess is that, since Cell can breath in space, he just needs to fly close enough to get a view of the planet in order to use it.
That would be the same mismatch as this current fight right now. No Gundam can stand a chance against Unit-01, especially in it's berserk state. Unit-01 would eat any Gundam up.

I have to go with Unit 01. With the AT field it can cancel out attacks. Even Goku's instant transmission can't get pat it. When he uses it he moves so fast because he breaks into molecules or something. The AT field won't let hime past. Also, if Unit 01 did what it did in the movie then Goku would've turned into a tiny red dot before he could've done anything. The Dragon Balls would also dissappear seeing as EVERYONE on the planet turns into a tiny red dot. Also since Goku and friends seem to have a habit of watching things happen first I doubt they would've figured to leave the planet.
An AT field isn't unbreakable, with Goku's strength, he can break through it easily.
Even uber powerful Gundams like Wing Zero or the Double X doesn't even stand a chance of defeating Unit-01, they are simply not powerful enough to take down an Eva, especially when it's berserk. A Gundam, if lucky, might be able to harm an Eva, but it would just regenerate anything it loses.
