Has anyone read Hana Kimi?
I absolutley adore it xD I wish it went on longer though - or showed what happened after the end. My friend lent me the first three manga and then after that I was hooked :P I found the whole story to be absolutley hillarious.
You should read "Host Club" - it's similar to Hana Kimi :P

Yes. That series is so kawaii. xD
Mizuki is such a cute, sincere character, Nakatsu's hilarious and yet I really love his serious love confession scenes. Sano's very cool and sexy. The series does get a bit long, but I love it nonetheless.

I really enjoyed reading this manga, it has many characters that are very funny (like umeda-sensei, or his parents XDD) Although I don't read much shoujo, this serie catched my interest. And I also liked the art style, it's very cute ^_^

Its so cool to find more people who like Hana Kimi. I really like the plot line but I can't believe there are 22 volumes. Theres so many but its exciting none the less. I can't wait for the rest of the volumes to be released here in the US, I wait anxiously for each one. I really like Umeda, every scene he is in cracks me up.
Oooh sure I have too. At first the plot was really interesting and funny, with Mizuki's
baka-ness and naive thoughts. Though I think in the end the events turned too fast,
but I guess it'll be that way in real life, so I should not complain...
But! The ending was some kind of disappointing... The mangaka should have put
a ceremony or something... or maybe their life after that >__< its simply not enough!

Actually, for those of you who wanted a ceremony at the end...there is a wedding special that you should check out...sadly it's not their wedding though :)
It does show all the characters grown up and is a nice extra

Lol I love this manga it is too funny and the characters are hilarious especially that gay doctor guy o man I think this was the first manga that I read where the grls dress up as a boi and tries to fit in with dam and dan I realized there were many more of those but this manga is really fun to read it is a shojo but expect to laugh alot haha I haven't got to any sad part from this manga yet and it has never failed to make me laugh I know its already done in Japan and Korea so I am reading on at borders I don't want to end it so quick ^-^ I love reading mangas
Well, I don't think there were really ever any "sad" moments although there's definitely a lot of emotional moments the further along you go in the manga...there's definitely plenty of funny parts thrown in even at the end too...I agree that it's a fun manga to read
I read Hanakimi and really loved it. It's a fun & easy read, the interaction between the characters is the most interesting part of it. My fave characters would be Umeda & Shin...
OMG Ive totally heard of it, actually I own all 28 volumes, I loved the series, and it made me cry when it ended, and yes you are 100% right, the art is sooo cool, and omg Sano is so hott >.<

I definitely love this manga. (And love Izumi Sano) I found it was very interesting and it kept me reading throughout all 20 volumes. Gotta love the characters. I like Megumi too. (was that his name... xD)
Theres 28 volumes? 0_o?! Well, thats cool. I've read it all and the wedding one, on the computer. It went up to 25. But if theres 28 out there I'm still buying XD
I have bought up to volume 7 at home :D I love all the characters, especially the gay doctor. ho ho ho.

Yes I have, and I love it. So kawaii! ^^ Finished it online. Sano's probably the hottest guy in manga, and Mizuki pulls off the "cute-and-courageous" thing without making me want to hate her. Nakatsu's hilarious.

First, I must say: I hate shoujo. Ergo, I go out of my way to not read shoujo and avoid the shoujo section in the bookstore. I can count, on one hand alone, the number of shoujo series I've ever read. And HanaKimi is one of them.
I started reading it years ago (off a friend's recommendation), when it was first coming out and there was just something about it that I couldn't resist. Okay, I admit; I really read it because I was told there was a gay doctor in there. But Umeda aside, HanaKimi (at least then because it may be wrong now) had an original plot. I didn't know any other shoujo titles in which a girl dressed as a boy and entered into an all-boys school just to meet someone she admired on TV. So it wasn't something that was already done by half a dozen other mangakas. Of course, Hisaya-sensei's artwork is too good to pass up also. So I read it and I loved it. I haven't yet read the last volume, though.
