Why did they bring BOBOBOBOBOBOBO over? Better yet why did they make it?

They brought it here because Viz has plans on releasing the video game "Jump Super Stars" featuring all of the more well known anime heros/heroines of the moment, they want people to know what the hell Bobobobobobobo is. Also, they probably know someone would enjoy it... like that Milk Chan show. I hate that show and it bothers the crap out of me but people still like it. And why would they even create Bobobobobobobo? Because folks in Japan are just waaaay too creative and/or on drugs. Just my opinion though.

Psh, I don't even watch the show and I know it's stupid just by hearing the name...
After seeing the previews and all, I won't even bother thinking about watching it...don't care If it's here for a game, still stupid

^LOL I had the exact same question hahahaha more like WHY DID THEY MAKE IT! because all that anime does with my friends is that its like a laughter we always make joke about it when we see a huge afro or something OMG BOBOBOBOBO >< ahahahahaha they are like omg you should cosplay as BOBOBOBOBOBO and such its really weird how Japanese thought of such a character lol i am sure it has something to do with poking fun at people but man this anime just seem so out of the way ^^;;... maybe it is better in Japanese I am not sure but either way this anime just seems very weird lol and yes it is sadly true that Americans ruin just about all animes they bring over and dub >< UGH FMA >< NEVER WATCH FMA IN ENGLISH well das just my opinion >< but man!

The name alone gave a bad impression to me. Then I went to watch the first episode and laughed at its stupidity >.>

Cartoon Network does something called demographing where they analyze anime in Japan and see if it could fare well in the US. The anime could be very well made, very well recieved in Japan, but America is a completely different demographic, with completely different tastes.
Thats why they find the shittiest animes and bring em here and they do so well (naruto, inuyasha, one piece).
And if its a good anime (FullMetalAlchemist) they make sure they shit on it as much as possible to make it as americanized as can be.

I don't think Naruto or Inuyasha are bad animes... They just have really bad voice actors for the dubs.

And the Bobobobobobobo thing... I saw my friend with that manga but I didn't bother to ask her to borrow it since it looked a bit silly. She even went over the correct way to 'rhythmically' say Bobobobobobobo correctly with another friend. XD

Wow...so much hate for Bobobo. How come? I must be the only one here who likes it then. I even bought the one manga volume I could find in a Suncoast. Of course, I love random comedy so its right up my alley. I was hooked from the first episode. I realize its not a straight dub. If it was, it would be more like how Adult Swim aired Super Milk Chan. Confusing and boring. There is an "American-ized" dub of Super Milk Chan which I hear is better, but I won't get into that. Its like in the case of FLCL. These shows make references to things we wouldn't understand unless we either live in Japan or study it's culture as exclusively as we do our own. So in order to make the shows "funny" to an American audience, they have to insert references to American culture. On the other hand, in cases where the shows are just straight up funny without referencing anything, you only have the quality of the dub to look at. There just aren't a lot of good dubs out there, so I've come to terms with that. Odds are you're going to be disappointed. I'm more of the type to just be glad more anime is becoming available in the US, whether people like it or dislike it. To quote Trigun, people have many different ways of thinking. What's good to one person may not be good to another. I love watching Bobobo every Saturday, but hate One Piece. Other people love One Piece and hate Bobobo. Its all good.

I really hate this anime as well, but my 8-year old daughter loves it. Must be an age appropriate thing. I dunno.

I still don't understand why they would bring that anime series over either. It's so dumb in the first place, I don't even know why Japan even created this. It is seriously the dumbest and worst series in anime history. What the hell does anyone care about a dumb itiot with an afro fighting with his nose hair anyways. Bobo-bobobo-bo gives anime a bad name to new viewers who have never seen anime and gives them the wrong idea about anime sometimes.
