I like tokyopop the best because it has most likely the largest selection of manga available in the U.S. About half to 75%of my manga collection is made up of tokyopop books. They half some of the best titles and the ccompany has a wonderful website that is very handy. They even have their own free magazine! What more could we want?

Del-rey has satisfied me the most (tsubasa, xxxholic; those color pages OMFG!!) but that's only two titles, so i can't really say a lot about them. although i agree tokyo pop should mind the SFX (in karekano they are extremely important if you want to fully enjoy the manga), but in GTO they did a PERFECT job. Each frigging page has comments, SFX, little bubbles here and there, it must have drove them crazy ^^ and they translated most of it (sometimes it was just part of the art, it couldn't be helped).
Most JUMP Magazine titles are released WAY TOO SLOW. even the ones that aren't a regular in the magazine (i don't even read shaman king anymore ^^U) and i'm afraid Viz magazines, both Shojo Beat and Jump, are getting way too thin, and i mean, alarmingly thin. It makes me reconsider the suscription (i wanna reaaaad those title RIGHT NOW) if they keep the same price, give me less pages and add more advertisements... i don't know...
Also the censorship... people, some titles aren't meant for children AT ALL (yuyu hakusho's main characters goes to high school and might as well be a gangster).

I personally prefer Tokyopop to any other manga translation company, mainly because they translate things well, keep the characters in character with their translations, do not flip the manga, and generally preserve it in the way the author intended. Oh, and they translate Fruits Basket, but that's just an added bonus.
It would definetly be shojo
Yup Viz Shojo

I like Viz best, because it's got some of my favorite titles of all times. Naruto for example...
Hmm, out of all of them I like ADV the most. It's just that some of the nicest looking ones are just from that company. I recently read Tactics Vol. 1 from them and it was good. Del Rey is also good for their work on Tsubasa Chronicle and xXxholic. I forgot who did Yosaba!& (sp?) the manga from the same author as Azumanga Diaoh, but it was great. I think it was ADV too, but I'm not sure on that. Most of the time I don't notice the companies, unless I'm really interested in the title to see where it's from.

Darkhorse made a great work on the manga Hellsing. I bought some volumes on ebay (yeah, I always buy there, that's safer ^^) and I thought that the translation and the manga itself has been well made! I just love Alucard :D
About Tokyopop, I buyed from them AI Buster. That's a novel who is part of the Dot Hack project (really interesting if you know some others parts of this project). The japanese version is really cheap, nothing except the text itself but Tokyop made a great work on it! They put some illustration and improved it. It's really enjoyable to read it like that!
As for others editor, I can't tell much by now. ...

It doesn't really matter to me as long as I like the manga. That doesn't mean that the companies do a good job on their releases and that I'm happy about it. Tokyopop is notorious for their edits. One of my favorite Viz titles indirectly states that it's been edited (and it's not a Shonen Jump title). ADV messed up Azumanga Daioh. But that's the cost of reading and purchasing them in English. If I want the original, I just need to learn Japanese.

I like ADV and TokyoPop myself, not so crazy about VIZ but i must say they all have there bad mangas and there good mangas, and i have to say that there isn't one that i don't like cause they all bring me manga in english :P

I like Tokyopop cos its translation is really good and well done. Chuang Yi singapore is also quite good and the price is only half of Tokyopop's even though the selection isn't that wide. They're quite up to date, too. I find Tokyopop rather slow on the publication. The local Tora Aman in Malaysia isn't that bad, although the translation is hard to understand at times. i owe it to them cos they make it possible for manga to be found here, even though it is in malay, not my best language.
I buy manga in japanese so i like such manga company as Ribbon mascot comics and Shuesha and other company that mangas i buy ^_~
Hmmm i like tokyo pop and i cant remember if this is a company but clamp

. Maybe that could be her theme song (?). Oh, and don't forget "Transformers". That song really reminds me of Beat. (the remix of the song also remids me of Linkin Park for some unknown reason).
Take this
