After months of work, chanelqueen17 has created a gorgeous scene of Alice and Oz from Pandora Hearts, using scans that didn't even feature both characters together. Even after spending so much time on matching the details of the characters to their new looks, chanelqueen17 didn't stop there and went all out on the background too! This wallpaper definitely needs to be seen!

I don't know if there is a topic on this so if there is one, my apologies and close it at will.

I don't know about you guys but I'm not really big on books. I am not a very attentive reader and I read rather slowly when I am forced to read books for school. I also tend not to read the book at whole so I rely on Sparknotes or Cliffnotes often. But whenever a really good book comes around, I read it all and sometimes, read it again. One of my favorites is JD Salinger's The Catcher in the Rye because of all the symbolism, the morals and how real it feels (most guys can relate to how Holden felt at one point in the book). I learned a lot from that book and strangely enough, wrote a paper on it because I enjoyed it that much.

So do you guys have a favorite book or novel? If so, why and what makes it enjoyable?

I don't have any favorite novel, a good novel to me is something that'll make me want to read it nonstop and un able to put it down, and i have read good number of them from school as well as my own time, really depends of your tastes, for example i love science fiction and fantasy novels, but abhore classics, but i still enjoy some of the ones that my school makes us read cause some of them have deep meaning

Catcher in the Rye's a really good book... My fav would probably be Jonathan Livington Seagull. It's a really good book to read. Not that long though. I've also like the harry Potter series, Angels & Demons, the Da Vinci Code, The Wayfarer Redemption and the Vampire Chronicles...

Gahhh. I've read so many good books this summer. I must say the best book I've read in a while is either 1984 by George Orwell, Fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury, or The Fountainhead by Ayn Rand. I really like Ayn Rand's work. We read Anthem in school in 9th grade and one of my friends looked at some of her other books. The Fountainhead is an amazing book! It's about 700 pages but I got through it in no time. I couldn't put it down and I really felt for the characters that she created. I highly recommend that book to anyone who enjoys novels that make you think.

Some of my all time favorites are the Animorphs series (read 23), the Redwall series (read 12), the Dragonlance series (read 25+), and just recently, the series A song of Fire and Ice. (read 2.5) Gotta love a good series.

Good Omens by Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett. A whole new way of looking at the Apocalypse. Highly amusing and entertaining.

Definitely Lord of the Rings.

The foundation trilogy by Isaac Asimov, and The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy by Douglas Adams, are a close second.

I LOVE most everything by R.A. Salvatore. I'm not to big on his Demon Wars series, but if it's Forgotten Realms, I've read it^^ It's fantasy, like Lord of the Rings, but different. The style is more modern than LOTR obviously lol. You really get to know and love the characters. Definetely worth a read. Pick up the Icewind Dale trilogy if you have an extra twenty dollars or so. I found it at random and have loved it ever since. ^_^ I wanna write as well as he does someday! lol

Tamora Pierce and Merideth Ann Pierce are good as well. Mercedes Lacky has really great books too. Read Exile's Valor and Exile's Honor by Lackey^^ Great characters in there.

I like most books but I like the sci-fi books or biography books. I adore Harry Potter series and Chopin in Paris, for example of the biography.

I like the Guimarães Rosa's books (have something of mistery - he's braziliam).

When I start reading a book, I keep going only if it can offer something you don't see everyday; like fantasy or sci-fi with flaming bots or lightning bikes. Or ecchi. That keeps my interest up if written well. :p

*Hint* *Tip* *Nudge* *Nudge* The sig, the sig!

(Sorry, couldn't resist. :D )
