would you read the manga after watching the anime version?
I prefer read the manga before the anime =x the manga is always better ... ( arf, not for Trigun and others lol )
My personal opinion about animes/mangas...is that the quality of the drawings/scenes are a grade (or two) better than the anime...but then...some action scene are just not done justice with just a bunch of still pictures...

To me, it actually doesn't matter.. As long as I get to see both, I'm good.. >_o.
Although sometimes, I wished I saw one of them first O_O

I primarily have better access to manga than anime... but if I happen to watch the anime and the story attracts me, yes I'd buy the manga. Usually manga is better than the anime IMHO, because the original artist/author worked on it. Unless of course it's an original anime story like Samurai Champloo -- the anime is much better than the manga.
Ok... so I guess it would still ok to read the manga after watching the anime version... well it started of when I watched the Love Hina anime and I really like it so much and after a while, I manage to get hold of the manga version and it was very interesting because its very different from the anime (which made me think that the manga version is much better because of dramatic effect on certain chapters)
well time to get the manga too! thanks to everyone...

An anime is what gets me interested in a manga a lot of the time. I probably wouldn't read something if I found out it was the same as the manga, page for page, but if the anime doesn't have a real ending, like so many animes, I'd definitely want to start reading the manga, so I can find out more about the characters, and how it really does end.
A lot of times, mangas get me interested in animes, too! There are some series I might have never checked out if I hadn't liked the manga so much.

Usually I watch the manga first since it is the original. Shounens are usually fun to watch on the screen though.
Sure, why not? Sometimes the manga is different from the anime, a la Full Metal Alchemist. Sometimes, I just want to see the manga artist's point of view and how the anime drew certain scenes or vice versa. If the anime was medicore, then I would download to see if the manga was any different. I don't know if I'd download the anime if the manga was a piece of junk, though.
It's all about more views on the same storyline or even a different view on a storyline, characters, and gimmicks.

Yes I would

I generally watch the anime of any given series first, although there are some exceptions to that. For instance, I read Love Hina before I saw it, and I'm glad because I probably would have never picked up the manga if I had seen the show first.
On the other hand, sometimes a show is so good or has an abrupt ending and makes me want to read the manga. For instance, I watched GTO and Tenjho Tenge first, and was compelled to read the manga. In Tenjho Tenge's case, I wanted to learn more about what happened after it ended because it was a fairly decent show but after researching it a bit more, I discovered that the manga was absolutely beautiful.
In GTO's case I was very moved by the show (Probably one of the best I have ever seen), but the ending was kind of a dissapointment (just slightly), so I wanted to read it and see if there were any differences. I haven't actually started reading it yet, though, but I think I will enjoy it because generally the manga is better than the anime.

Sometimes when I watch an anime and find that there is more to the story I read the manga to get the full story or a different ending. sometimes I just read the manga because its ahead of the anime....or sometimes I just read it because I prefer the original art and story compared to the anime version.
I love both, it's normal they aren't exactly the same, but we can find something we love in the anime and other in the manga, so if I loved the anime I will read the manga.
