Hehe...i know it is probably very bad to work on two walls at the same time especially when i am a newbie or noob or whatever that word is in your local vocab. but since i ran into a waller's block on my other one, i spent several hours working on this wall.
it is definitely not my style, not my normal one, which is more...scenic? I guess is the word. this is very simple and yeah.
again, the idea came from a scan i had of shinn holding a lemon and I was like o.o? a lemon? it was the cover of some magazine with impulse on the bg. i thought it kinda funny and a fun little project aside from my "will this attempt of mine 'fly'...or not?" wall. and so i extracted shin and recolored the whole thing. i hated having to get rid of all the text that was cover his body...that sound's funny. i had to make up his fingers on his right hand (prob why it kinda looks funny ^^;) i hope the outline and stuff don't look too bad... did i mention i hated the text?? ><
oh and if shinn is too dark, i am going to actually add adjustment layer(s) to fix that.
the rest well, imagination gone a little wild. i pretty much drew/created everything else myself. the curly swirls were drawn based on a design though, because i got a little lazy ^^;
and anybody got any ideas on how to make the last words of the small text (the sentence) more visible over that curl thingiemabobber?

but because this isn't what i usually go for in walls, i'm not that confident in it. =/ tell me what you think.

Lols its the first time I ever saw SHinn holding a fruit before ahhaha ne wayz Shinn is perfect a little jagged on the outlines but not bad. The background is actually nice. The concept of lemons is good and I like how you added slices of lemons in the back. I also really like the font with the glass of ice cold sunshine :) this wall is actually good. yet it is missing sumthing. Because of its SImplicity this wall could be accepted, but there are voids to fill. THe whole elft side needs sumthing. Either add more brush effects to it or fill it with lemony color :) Maybe a bit bright to sum ppl, add a darker, subtle-color bg wont hurt. Dark brown maybe? Dark orange perhaps? Overall I like this wall! Just a few tweaks here and there and it should be good! Goodluck!

Considering that you removed all the text from the scan I congradulate you! You do need to make the outlines a little smoother... It's too sharp on the edges so fix that. Since you had to recolor it you should redraw the lines on the inside too. You really are doing great though. I like the bg and it fits the saying. ^-^ As for the text at the end you need to either make it a different color or make the box around it a different color. I really like it alot though!! ^-^

My first time ever drawing lemons ^^ glad you guys like it. jagged outline yes...i disliked the text and i also dislike outlines very much >o< *sigh* i really am not good with outlines.T_T i need somebody to teach me how to use the pen tool -.-
I left the left side mostly blank because i thought it would be nice to put your icons there...i suppose i could add some colors. see, the problem is that it's SHIN holding the fruit...if it had been athrun or lacus or kira, i could add nice pics of birdie and haros... shin has nothing but a cellphone (and this lemon..i still can't get over the lemon x3) and that's a symbol of sad memories that i don't want to associate with this light hearted wall. hmm, i might have to go and find myself a chibi shin. darn. i have a chibi of the other lead characters but just not shin. ><

Lol, I like this XD I saw the scan and I thought it was soo cute...you did a good job removing all those words ^^
now, the things I don't like:
-the shadow behind the text don't match with the rest of the wall.
-the more "reddish" looking orange peal at the bottom doesn't look good because of the filter you used...also the color of it too.
-I'd put different colored shadows behind Shinn. Colors like orange, yellow, and green

but wow this is a good start for your first vector-ished wall! I'm impressed ^^ did you use tutorials or do it all by yourself? anyways good luck and hope I helped you~

YOu knwo ucould alwayts do grunge along with wat you have, jsut use the colors that compliments Yellow ie:Red, light green, green, orange, brown maybe even purple. Just fill in the void on the left and we'll see from there :)

Thank you inuspal! the reward for all that text-removal i guess...^^ no, no tutorials no nothing, just my brains and gues-timating what it should look like. but i had a bit of training with text-removal + recoloring with an equally text-ified kira scan and a dull text-scribbled scratched low-qual scan of the "honoo no tobira" suit cd cover.
ahh, drop shadow. i added it to 'pop' out the title or else it just kinda fades into the bg. should i just totally give up on ps's effect thingies?

Otakugaijin: o___o *high pitched screech* g...gr...grunge? i'm afraid walling and ps is so new to me and that i'm so underqualified that i might die before i get grunge right...that sorta rhymed huh? sorry. off topic. maybe someone suggest a grunge tutorial...if there's something like that? or you could teach me...if that's okay with you...^^

Refer to my "Aoi Sakuraba" wall. See thats my first time doing grunge and its quite simple. However, mine is symetrical, meaning it was organized. you see how 1 half reflects the other behind the scan? usually in grunge that doesnt happen. BUt I decided to be a rebel and go on ahead.
you almost did a grunge too. If you continued with the swirls making it random behind Shinn, then it could qualify as grunge and you would have made your very first "grunge" wall without even knowing it :) on your wall you have a jagged red swirl and a dark orange "rigged" swirl, thats almost grunge right there. Oh and an add on to grunge is TEXTURING! Thats a must for all grunge walls. Maybe thats should be on your BG and that add another over your swirls. Look here around AP for other grunge walls and u'll know what I mean. Goodluck!

Any suggestions as to where i can download texture? and brushes...other than DA! because i already know that one. this is also for future use.

Back on AP again. ^^. okay. to the point. i decided the bg was best left simple and clean so i colored it. i don't think it turned out too bad. what do you think? oh yeah, i tried texturizing the bg but nothing fit quite well... (most likely because i have hardly any textures ><)

DeviantArt, in my opinion, has the best textures. I always find a good texture to use there. Look for any 'grunge' kinda textures for example, old paper, sketchy like, blotches anything that supports grunge I suppose. Still, I like the look of the wall so far. Subtle and simple. Very clean too. ADD MORE SWIRLS! lols goodluck!

Latest update...changed the largest swirl... as to texture and more swirls, i think i'll go for that in a second version since i like this wall the way it is. is this up to AP scratch? comments welcom and thank you all who already commented. ^^
