FMA anime vs. manga

I've read the first 5 volumes of the FMA manga, and seen the whole anime. I've seen some major differences and alot of minor ones. Which do you think is better and why?
I prefer the FMA manga over the anime, especially after the anime diverges from the manga's storyline after the whole Greed arc. I like the pacing of the manga more, and the Xing characters are much more interesting than what the anime winded up doing.
Well, i think they're both good but in my opinion the anime is better than the manga for a couple of reasons. First of all every FMA fan wanted the anime to last forever, but luckly the producers decided not to drag ont he series and i think the ending went very well. As an add on the movie was done well too and i liked how they incorperated actual Nazi events and the FMA story together.(even though i didn't liek the ending very much)
The manga does have new characters and a different turn but i think it lacks the action and effects the anime carrys out very well. (also the music is done well)
overall, i think the anime could carry out a better interpretation of the FMA world but that doesnt' mean the manga isn't worth reading.

I've only read the first volume of the manga and seen only the first half of the anime series. but from what i've seen so far, i prefer the anime. it could be because i've been sick of reading since my last term of school.. but it may also be because the anime can convey so much more of the series, such as the characters emotions and actions. it's really hard to create the same feelings in a manga (animated things make a big difference).

I’m a little torn between the two.
There are certain aspects of the plots on both the anime and the manga that I find interesting which makes it a hard choice.
I like how the magna goes much more in depth with the plot and how other extra characters are added in to make it a little more interesting, however I was disappointed when I found out the magna lacked the Wrath Izumi storyline.
But none the less I cant choose which one is better out of the anime and magna

The manga is my favoured choice, but mainly as its still going so there is something new to look forward too each month. The characters have a lot more depth as its been going for so long and you don't know all the homonculus yet. We are 62 chapters down now, and still going for what seems like a while.
Thats not to say I don't like the anime, its still fun to watch it through, but I prefer the stories and the characters the manga explores.

I like the manga better, since the anime's ending was dissatisfying (in my opinion, at least) and the storyline in the manga's pretty good, too.
I like them both. i find the plot and twists in the anime and manga good. even though they were different from each other. i also think the anime ended quite well. however the manga is still ongoing so maybe that moves the manga up by a few notches.
Well, if the anime didn't had the bad ending it has, I would say the anime. because I think that in the anime they connected the events much better (with marko and scar, for exemple).
but because the ending ruin the anime, I think that the manga is better, or at least that it will be better (the new characters from xing, especially the one who faints)

I thought the fma anime was better than the manga, if only because it was portrayed in a much more intense, serious manner. this gave the overall story a better atmosphere and therefore i enjoyed it more
I think is the anime cause it has cooler and it has Wrath in it.

I'm in Australia, so we get our Anime and Manga awhile after alot of you, and I didn't realise that the manga was so long, does anyone know how long it actually is?
For me,I prefer the anime over the manga ^^

I haven't read much of the manga, but I've seen all of the anime. So far, I still like the anime more depsite my dislike of the ending. But the manga is pretty good too, in it's own way.
