Very nice, i like the effect in the bg, the red and the blue... the bg need little bit clean.. and the scan need ckean at the edges...

A nice wallpaper, nice effect on the bg, but looks like you enlarge the image... The effect on the bg looks blurry...
doesnt really fit the chara, didnt blend well with the character...

The character havent cleaned well, still need a lil fix~
besides than that, the wallpaper looks great!

As said. not liking the border.
interesting scans to work with. although the quality can be upgraded. Also , to point out some extraction problems..
girl on the left- her hair on the right side-extraction is unsmooth, especially in the circled part.
but also on the left, it's not really a good shape. seems distorted.

girl on the right- has a bit of striped color at right shoulder. don't know what that is.
also, a black stipe at her breast , which looks a bit weird.

I can telll you've used the smudge tool on the hair part.

don't blur it too much, or it will stand out too much

The edges of their hair needs some cleanup, as mentioned, as for the Mai -"HIME" word in the center, I think it should stand out a little more. Right now it's not that eye catching, or it's rather dull. But like the others mentioned as well, this is a good piece of work.

I think that the text needs to be in other colour instead of red to make it more appealing. Since you used blue and red for 2 sides and only red for the text it feels a little....weird, either apply gradient or try a different colour?

I love the background but the chara needs to be cleaner.

Unlike what you've been hearing before this, I strongly recommend that the background be reworked.

The rendered blue and red stuff ar a color match for the girls' hair, but besides that they're not really relevant to the characters or series. There's also a bunch of compression noise in them, especially the blue one. Makes me wonder, did you render them yourself or are those two stocks you got from somewhere? If they are stocks, then extracted scans + stock bg is not good enough for the gallery.

I'm not keen about the black bars at top and bottom; if it's for cinematic effect, I don't think that's really appropriate for this wallpaper. If they're there just to make the wallpaper big enough, bad excuse - do a background that's actually big enough, or work at a smaller target screen res.

The scans are well extracted and compositionally, their positioning is pretty good, so you've got that working in your favor. Main issue here is with the background, imo.

I think that your extraction of the scans is ok.(there is a black line on the girl on the right, on her right boob).
As for the black border you need to get rid of it. The blue thing you got going on the left is all out of focus and it just looks bad unlike the on on right. And overall the background does not match the scan at all. So I think that you need to fix that above and redo the background to something that matches and looks good and not a stock photo. good luck

Wow.. where did you get those pics for mai and natsuki? they look WAY younger then usual (and is it just me or does mai look like shes got a boob reduction?) Anyway just to clear things up, i can see where you getting at with the red/blue background but natsuki isn't blue shes portrayed as being silver or rather metal... just thought i should tell you that :D
