Your Favorite Video Game Female Character
People always talk about the hero's of video games be it Cloud, Link, Ryu Hayabusa, Solid Snake, whatever. Now it's time for the women of video games to take the spotlight.
So, which video game female character do you like the best?
Tell us which game she's from and why you like her?
I guess I'll start things off.
My favorite has to be Chun Li from the Street Fighters series.
Why? How about the fact that she kicks serious ass. But the real reason I like her is because she is the first fighting game character I played with and being a hardcore fighting gamer, that meant a great deal to me. In all the street fighter games, she has always been my best, especially in the infamous Street Fighter Third Strike.
Please avoid turning this into a list thread. For those of you who don't know, it is against the rules. Thank You.

Zoe Castillo from Dreamfall. She's just an ordinary gal who tries to help out a friend and gets caught up in an epic tale of two worlds. Even though she doesn't always know what to do, she does her best to do hat she can. She's my favourite because she's just a normal person, nothing special about her (well, except she can shift between worlds ;) ) who ends up being a hero.
Milia from Guilty Gear
She's great, kicks ass and does it with her hair.
Her attack power isn't that great like other characters
but she's super fast and lands attacks from almost anywhere
If you can't catch her, well you're good as dead.

Tanya from Red Alert 2, played by Kari Wuhrer, really hot, I really miss the good old days of RA2...
Heh, tough choice. actually made me think for a few minutes.
Considering the games I've recently played i would have to say Ayane from Dead or Alive.
Why? Well for the first obvious reason, shes a real treat to look at. (dang, I've been lowered to status of game pervert) Her different outfits look great too. Secondly she was the first character i played when i got Dead or Alive 3 for the Xbox, first version i played.
Now that i went back and played 4 recently, She has been the only fighter i can beat other players with. Nothing better for me than to get beaten down using Ryu, then totally destroy my opponent with Ayane.
And the last thing is she is a beaut to look at. wait didn't i say that already...

Probably Alice from Shadow Hearts just because her healing powers are awesome. She's actually one mage I like having on my team.
I'm sure my favorite Hitomi from DOA 3 & 4. Her fighting karate skills were good enough to knocking down Brad Wong or Hayate. I could tell she's pretty awesome and also sexy fight as either. Karate techniques are the best when comes to mid-range attack moves. Her counter moves were really balanced. Although she's my favorite character in DOA series next to the newest from DOA 4 girl Kokoro.

Mai Shiranui, the originator of boob physics.
I have some favorite characters, from some videogames:
- Kasumi from Dead or Alive: Oh my God!! she is so gorgeous!! Who dont want her as a partner in any mission? Her beauty is incredible, her skills are really cool! and of course her customs are legendari! I also like Helena, the strong character woman that seeks revenge against the murders of her parents!! Also like her customs!
- Shiranui Mai form KOF: well, what can I say, Mai is the origin of the cool fighting girls in the history of the videogames!.
- Jill Valentine from Resident Evil: A girl who can kill a zombie and figth face to face to The Nemesis is a girl that dont be taken easy. Also is the most charismatic girl form the Resident Evil sagas.
- Dizzy from Guilty Gear: Her innocense only hide the power that rise inside her!

My favorite female video game character would have to be: KOS-MOS ( Xenosaga).
The Xenosaga series as a whole has held a close spot to my heart for years, but speaking specifically, KOS-MOS quickly became an all-time favorite, almost right from the start (in fact, one of the things that intrigued me about the game was her character design). One of the first scenes where she blew me away occurred shortly after the Gnosis attacked Shion's ship. As the player, I was more than a little nervous given how strong these enemies had been set up to be -- nearly untouchable at this point. Should they make contact with you, prepare to be turned basically into to a pillar of salt. The mood is heightened by alarms that are blazing, lights failing, the ship rocking -- basically, something real bad is going happening. To top it off, this "weapon" that Vector Enterprises has been working on (and that they've had some very bad luck with in the past) is beginning to respond on the deck, and the 'coffin' where it lies is activating. In the chaos, the 'hood' rises we see the trapped employees backing away in utter panic -- and a single arm raises up.

[The soundtrack at this point is chilling].
KOS-MOS wakes on her own, "an impossibility" according to Vector and as she sits up you can literally sense how awesome a character she is, and how major a role she'll play. Illustrated in just a few moments when she makes mincemeat of the untouchable Gnosis in her charge to protect Shion. These scenes rival some of the best the horror genre & action genre's have had to offer IMHO and I've made it a point to enjoy them time and again as a result. I've been anxiously glued to her story and the mysteries surrounding her creation ever since, and the reveal as to who she really was, what her function and role were to be, and how she would end up saving the day in the end was more than even my theories and anticipation had come up with (which is the rare surprise). Fantastic character, and I hope we haven't seen the last of her.
Other favorites include: Samus ( Metroid), Zelda ( LoZ), Lyn ( Fire Emblem), Alice & Karen ( Shadow Hearts), Luna ( Lunar: SSS)...

Well, I have recently taken a liking to the female characters in Final Fantasy XII and X such as Yuna, Rikku, Ashe, and Penelo. Rikku and Penelo are always upbeat and cheerful, which is always good (for me, at least). Ashe and Yuna are simply aesthetically pleasing to the eye.
