Finally a dota thread! i began playing this a month ago and its very addicting as long as you play with your friends. my choice of characters are omni-knight, tiny the stone giant, dwarvel sniper, and sandking.
does anyone know any weakness character of omni-knight because i have a hard time beating him since his skills are healing, repel magic and guardian angel which boost his defense.

Try using diffusal blade, which burns his mana down. no mana = no skill, plus theres purge which can remove negative buffs to allies and can be use to slow down enemies

Yes team play is everything in dota even myself always pawned by anyone. in my opinion omni-knight is very difficult opponent cuz he can make any unit slow inside his aura area, it's great idea by burn his mana. my favorite hero are sandking, nerubian assasin, earthshaker, crystal maiden, vengeful spirit, moon rider, sniper, troll warlord, drow ranger, naga siren, ogre magi, slithereen guard, netherdrake, Razor, Mortred, spirit breaker and Nevermore. I like the hero i mention it above but don't get me wrong i'm still get pawned by anyone. anyway what news about new dota map esp v6.38?
Yeh omniknight is very hard to beat, but a hardcore melee fighter like skelton king, with heavy crits and lifesteal, or naix, should b able to deal with his healing abilities and what not. a well played naga siren is unstoppable with diffusal too.
I don't know much about warcraft 3 But World of warcraft is awesome.

I love DOTA. I play it all the time on USEAST. Contact me if ya want to play :P I play a lot, and have been playing since a long time. I've pretty much memorized all the characters abilities. hehe. I guess i'm a DOTA nerd :P

I think Priestess of the Moon is the best character i pwn people with it =D i play TDA o.o not much pub games
here goes the omniknight weaknesses:
a melee hero which always can be easily harass by range hero [early game] so tht he cant farm
-range hero like syllabear [fast aspd], bone fletcher [wind walk], furion [sprout]...
would do a good harass at early game... remember dont let him farm!!
althought his purification is quite a problem, maybe try some mana burn on him ^.^
-antimage [mana break/blink], nerubian assasin [mana burn], kotl [mana leak]...
AND naga siren, ensnare can go throught repel >.<
so what is important that is dont let him farm well.
Dose any1 know what is the best item for Priestess of the Moon?
I love Dota .... I play this game long time ago ...... for example the heros can buy infernal and PUSH!!

Mmm, I agree DOTA is a team play game...but the only down side (at least for me) if that if you cant farm early in the game you're busted ... for the rest of the game... and that's annoying.
In the other hand you can always pick a kick ass hero... like omni, alchemist... and others and own later inthe game

The item strategy for each hero (and type of hero) have a very long list different and interesting strategies .....
with the Holy Knigth my favorite items are :
"Sange and yasha" + "Boots of travel" + "Radiance" + (any item you want)
1- any oponent hero never cach you
2- you cach any oponent hero
3- the level of support are increrible (for your team)
