Death Note new OP/ED
The new Death Note opening song and ending song changed starting episode 20. Both of the new songs are perfomed by "Maximum The Hormone", a Japanese metal band.
What do you think about the new Death Note theme?
In my opinion i guess it's just too wierd, and this is my first time seeing a metal theme music as anime, gosh.
Well, i've used to this kind of "neck-breaking" song. So i would like to hear some of you guy's opinion.

The new opening song to Death Note sound totally out of place and ending as well the video looks cool, but the audio has to go. In my opinion its disgusting
Hmm I won't lie when the episode started I couldn't help but stare in shock. I'm not sure what to make of it. It's certainly different. Never heard heavy metal used in anime before. I guess it fits in a weird way. I don't mind the opening, they could do better with the closing though. It might help to close on a less harsh note.
I don't watch the anime but I saw the two videos. In my opinion, I actually like the two songs and I think it fits really well with the anime (since it's based off of the manga and I read all the manga). After all, Death Note is suspenseful, fast-pace, and it's far from mellow so I think the metal song actually fits with the nature of the anime. It's not your average anime so it deserves a not-your-average opening/ending, don't ya think? There's nothing bad about the music. I think it's just taste in the end. Personally, if they started putting some slow ballad song as the ending or some pop song as the opening, that actually would be out of place. Death Note falls on the dark and harsher side of the spectrum so I think the two metal songs matches it perfectly. People just need to get used it.

I must agree with that. Death Note is just asking to be different from other anime series, not to mention that the new themes are really awesome!
I like it actually. I'm not usually a metal fan but somewhat hardcore is good. It's a big stretch though because I've watched many anime series and this by far is unique. I can see why they made a live-action for it. But anyways, it's great.
... The opening and ending's ... interesting, I guess...
I didn't like the lyrics for the opening, though. Then agaim, I hate songs with swears in it. "Human ****ers" really disturbed me for a bit. As for the ending theme... I reckon the subbers screwed up... I think it's not supposed to be "Eraser Rain"... but rather "You raise your reign" <--- doesn't that sound so much better?

No offence but the opening sounds horrible to me - too 'heavy metal' for my taste, and the lyrics... don't really sound like lyrics.

I love the opening an ending themes, i think its unique from any other anime in my opinion.
Well, since i hate this music so all i can say is that this is one of the worst Japanese songs i've ever heard :D
Too noisy, i don't even consider it a music. And for deathnote to choose these songs for it's theme... Maybe they want to drop their show ratings? If they're thinking of making a new breakthrough of using metal songs for anime, think again. Well, it's a failure for this series i guess...
I haven't watched the episode which uses these songs, but i'll be sure to mute my tv when i know they're playing it. Any animation without voice is always better than having this song in the background.

I don't think the new songs fits to Death Note, but I like the songs anyway oO;;

Who are we to judge death note i mean its 'death note' figuratively speaking its the best anime of our gen, they know that and by using a metal op may just signify the show picking up a bit (witch it doesn't need to its already no#1).
