Cheating In Your Exams
1 year 5 months ago
What i mean by cheating here is about the school exams
You're not sure you can do your exams. You're not sure if you can remember the whole things you've learned and for the most common cases, you probably didn't study last night. You'll make an immidiate action, cheating
(hey, i'm not saying that everyone did this. I'm saying that most people cheat)
How you cheat, when you cheat, it's up to you but be warned; teachers don't take it easily when they find out. They'll pull you paper and draw a big smiley face on your paper test named "you are failed" (although in some cases, teachers just reduce your mark)
I've cheated a few times as well but never get caught. If i could, i don't want to cheat but the whole test materials these days are insane, really hard to get in my head
Cheating doesn't always have to be alone, you can ask your friends or "cooperate". But the risks are higher. If the teacher find out, both you and your friend would be kicked out of the exam
Now i'll ask you, do you choose to cheat or to fail your exam?

Hhhmm...this is a nice question..well..for me I do not cheat during exam..I wanted to fail it rather than cheating cause my conscience cannot take it and also there will be a possibility that this will come to you anytime or what we called "karma" so If you ask me..better to fail it rather than to cheat
I never cheat in test or exams even if i am bound to fail. Anyway, it is wrong to cheat in exams. If you had studied all the points and important information of that subject and understand it well, you will never ever want to cheat in your exams as you do not need to.
It all depends on the situation, but usually I look at cheating as a better alternative than failing, because it's only another means of getting through things. In school, you'll eventually forget most of the material you learn anyways so there's usually no insane consequences.
But cheating sometimes worsens your chances to pass, in most cases I just put down answers from logic if I don't really know the answer.

I don`t agree with you. For many people cheating is a kind of crime. But for me it is also humiliation. It`s like doubting in my talents in school and now plus my professionalism.
I guess it's still tolerable if you're still high school student and cheat at course that you suck or not good at except course related to math like physic, the math itself or chemistry (you can't cheat in these courses).
just don't make it a habit or you'll have hard time in college.

Hm well, I usually don't cheat, but if I really get the chance I will.
Problem is, if you cheat on the exams here you can be fined because of fraud, plus you automatically receive a 1 for the exam. (for all the American and whatever, that would be an F)
So uhm... yeah, I'd cheat, even if it's affecting my "karma". But I do wait for chances and the chance you're able to cheat, are very very very very(etc) small so I don't expect to cheat. Besides, I always doubt the answers of others so, in the end, I don't cheat at all.

I don't know... I've cheated some times, but I end up learning XD... somehow it's weird but it's like you're studding you know..
i used to be so desperate cheating that in the end I couldn't forget the subjects XD
But being prepared to the exam it's still the best way, cheating must be the ultimate option, that's what i think at least... XD

I used to make cheat sheets to use for tests/exams, but the thing was, by the time I was done writing and rewriting those cheat sheets, I ended up memorizing the info and didn't need them. Basically, it ended up being a different method of studying instead of cheating. I did cheat on an Italian language test in college once though. I couldn't remember all of the definitions I needed to know, so I input them all into a graphing calculator's programming. Professore thought I was doing math and such ^_^V

The risk may not always worth it, but just a little cant be harmfull. After all, think of the professionals in their work environment. They are not made to memorize every peace of information/formula/whatever. Thats what reference is for. And besides, knowing all formulas/definitions, does not mean that you trully know it, and forgetting one little thing, doesnt mean that you dont know the subject either. Sometimes in class i do the exercises perfectly. Then come on exam, go through it all easily, and then for some reason forget that one thing i used to be so good at in class. And yes it happens. So if i leave that blank, i will get lower score and give wrong impression about true knowledge. But if a glance over for a HINT (not the full answer) it comes back to me. And if you know all perfectly well, but just thing one thing you realized you overlooked during your studies, or did not understand it at that point, i think its OK to make some "codes" for yourself, as long as you learn it aftewords.
I wouldn't cheat. I would take whatever grade I deserved and work hard on the other exams to try and pull my grade up. If you cheat you'll never learn anything.
I don't think I've cheated... I never really study for tests either, and I still get good marks. XD
I don't like to cheat. If I pass the grade because of cheating, I would feel really bad. I mean, I didn't work for it, so do I really deserve it?
I'm very lucky to have been born with a photographic memory. That's part of why I don't cheat. I just read the material once and I automaticlly learn it.
I like to pass my exams on my own. If I pass it, it'll be great! If I fail it, it just means I got to work harder.

I would choose to fail. Because its not right to cheat.
Hmmm... well it depends really if the test is easy or difficult, with me if its easy, i don't copy or cheat i just do whatever i can do, however if its a difficult test/task which is setup over several pages of a workbook then i urge myself to cheat, Im totally against cheating, i know im not going anywhere fast if i cheat, yet its that little part in the back of my head which is telling me to copy the person next to me otherwise id be far behind everyone else and feel degraded* but i SHOULD have learnt my cheating lesson ages ago, thanks to my bizzare if not cunning idea to get the google translator to do my French homework, the result? an F grade, the French teacher found out about my "translator cheat." -_-;
i do feel bad, but in the end of the day, i only cheat in French (the subject i threatened to pull out.) and i get copied by other people in every other lesson anyway.
*before anyone asks, no ive got no self-confidence.
