Well, I just don't know. I can't decide if I like it or not. Any suggestions on how I can improve it?

Hm. First off its way too bright. It needs to be a tad bit darker. The sunflowers look nice, but they are too plain looking. What is in the background? Is it like a dirt hill or something? o.O On the girls hat, right at the top looks like it needs vectored better, it looks wavy to me. It might just be my computer though. Maybe with the suns glare, make it more colored then complete white. The sky in the back would also look better with a blue too it. The wall needs another color or two to stand out. You may also want to try some text on the right side. It would fill up the blank space nicely. Hm well good luck on this, and I hope I gave you some ideas that could help. ^^

The scan should probably have a higher contrast, since th background's so dark...and...did you just take a photo of a sunflower field and put it as the background? o.O Doesn't really match the picture at all...but as long as you're doing that, you may want to consider playing with perspectives and maybe having the girl IN the field, knee deep in sunflowers, instead of outside it. =P

Well I agree with the idea of aznxenocide in introducing her to the field, why dont you thy to vector some sunflores that way they will look more alive and colurful and by vectoring it also gives ypu more control of the entire bg.
