What kind jumps out at me is the text. The wallpaper is fine, its just that the text doesn't integrate that well with the sand. The text should be in such a way that it looks like it "sinks" into the sand, kinda like how someone writes with their finger. Maybe a different text perspective would be good to. The sky is also kind of plain. Could use a couple clouds here and there. Aside from all of that, the wallpaper is fine.
I feel that the character and the island at the back is...how should I put it - got this cut out feeling - maybe its just me.

THe scan needs more blending to look like its part of the wall, not pasted on. I suggest adding a texture above all the layers to gradually reduce the "paste-ness" and made clean up the scan while your at it. I also suggest adding more 'stuff' to the sky. its empty. Sand may need fixing, looks more like gravel to me. come back with the updates goodluck!
