Let the original thread do it's work. Apart from some extraction fixes, nothing else has been done as far as I can see. The background doesn't blend in well with the characters, and, to quote mblack in the other thread, "the scans seem to be just slapped onto a simple filtered background."

The extraction of the images are good but 3 can be too much unless you can arrange them in a way which fits well :P the bkg is a bit too plain too

No, the extractions are not good... YET... the extractions still need work, I can still see some edges that need help... That real cat still has an area at the back of his tail that needs work...and the paw prints in the corner need help... there are other areas as well especially around elbows and in tucked away corners... like I said before it is a really nice start and it is so cute ^^ but you need to make a main focus so that there is an obvious, palpable, grab and pull feel to this wallpaper. It has more of a background for a wallpaper feel as it is right now. Any way good luck and I think it will be really nifty once you have it all worked out. ^_^

I think you should do a bit more work on the BG. Pick a style and design it. Like Dragonsminc said, there need to be a main focus and more colors. It's a cute image, I wish you luck.

I think maybe a gold color would work better than silver for this one

the girl on the left is a little pixelated
but what i don't like is how
the middle girl seems to just stuck her top body out, while the other girls
have full bodys

Well I can't really complain about the extraction of the characteres, which seems to have been done quite ok.
What bothers me more is the shadow effect behind each of the characters.

It makes the characters appear somehow "flat" and kinda "overlayed" above the "flat" background. So what I would do is take that shadow effect out and rearrange them a little (maybe overlapping each other a little?).
I also would take out that half-transparency out (from the girl to the right for example).

As for the background: it looks a bit too simple. But remember: simple is not always bad, because usually you want the viewer to focus on the foreground. So you have to make the foreground more interesting in order to be able to add a better background. So after rearranging the foreground (into a row maybe?) and letting the characters partly overlap each other, you could try to use some lines in the lower part of the wallpaper (the lines would be parallel to the horizont) - in my opinion a line could cause the wallpaper to look not that random.
You could also use that line in order to write a title there - or a memorizable sentence or whatever you want.
