Wii or PS3

As an owner of both the PS3 and Wii Consoles, and from what I've seen here, I'd say you should get a Playstation 3. Seeing how you can only get one, if you get a PS3 you will truly be satisfied in the long run. With the Wii's last gen graphics and weak online community set up and horrible third party games, makes life expectancy as a console is but half of the PS3's and Xbox360's. Besides a few creative implements of its controller and hard work of its first party company (Nintendo themselves), I really don't see me playing it that much in the future.
If you like anime, sony products seem to always favor the otaku. Most of the best anime RPG's in the past have been released on the PS2, and as time moves forward, they will be on PS3. And all you ps2, and ps1 games, and even some PSP games, can all be played on your PS3.

If not the right format, you can also convert your anime to a higher resolution and the right format using the free program PS3 Video9 to make the quality even move amazing. Or just pop in a DVD or even a Blu-ray Disk and watch your movies that way.

I've got both, and the only reason i got the PS3 was because i want to play FFXi,FFvsXi, Metal Gear Solid 4... and... well, any other good game that comes along. Things the PS3 doesnt really have... Good Jap RPG's, Good Jap Action games... have you ever peeked at an import section in any site... you won't see many Jap exclusives... because there are none! Every single game exists in everywere! The thing i wanted PS3 for... it didn't happen yet... :/
And even in hardcore games, for those who like to stick to the consoles and play for a while... how many serious games can you count on PS3?! i'll give you at least 3, A.C. COD4, and Guitar Hero i (this one is not for everyone)

Haven't had a go on the PS3 so can't comment on it.
Played the Wii and have to say none of the games had lasting appeal for me. Most of the games made for the Wii are five minutes of fun. Mario Galaxy started off lame and stayed pretty lame. It's nothing compared to Mario 64.
I'd go for the PS3, I know right now it doesn't have classic games but we all know that's going to change. It's the year 2008 and this year will make the PS3 a console worth having.

PS3's graphic and speed are more power than Wii's. More than that, there are a lot of game for PS3, but if you are sportif then Wii is better choice. For me, PS3 is my choice. But I would like a PSP ^^
Well not to be hating on the Wii or anything...The PS3 just appeals to me
much more then the Wii because the genre of games available it just seems
that Wii is aimed more towards the family/kids sorta crowd.

PS3. The games on there (or will be on there) are much more to my liking. Examples include FFXi and MGS4.
Id go with the Wii hands down.
I myself do not like the PS3 and find it to be a system not worth buying at this moment. And as other have said its more for the Hardcore Gamer while the Wii is overall just fun to play.

I will choose PS3, becase PS3 games are suitable for me to play, like MGS4, DMC4 & GT5, FFXi...., I think Wii is for family play, i also like play tv game alone,
I think I might buy PS3, due to Anime and Graphics from what everysays

Well, I've personally made my choice, which was to get a Wii. ^^
The Wii is a spectacular system, my friends always look forward to coming over to my house because of it. XD The multiplayer options and the types of games you can play on it really make it awesome for a group of people, especially with the sports! It's awesome for playing with family members.
I'd personally like a PS3 now as well, considering it's more oriented towards the hardcore gamers and otakus.

I would say Wii for now, cause there is not so many games for PS3 now, and there is a lot of good games for Wii, for now.
It depends in if you want just have a very nice time with something fun or if you want a little more with games, the both are excelent consoles, I have a Wii and I prefer it

Both systems are great.
like said depends on what your after and what your willing to spend also with PS3 you will need a HDTV to get its full potential makes a massive impact on how a game is felt while playing it but wii is a nice little package with some good games and is more of a family and entertainment console where a PS3 has blue ray dvd playback and almost anything you could think of except the kitchen sink and then there's the 360 which i think sits in the middle of them both would prob lean more towards 360 if you don't have the pocket for a PS3

Wii is so much better than ps3, the game movement (control) makes wii much better
