This wallpaper captures the urban essence that proliferated the art of Ghost in the Shell in every incarnation of the series. Phill does an amazing job of capturing a moment of surrealism.

While there are a few, stray building angles and shadows, you find that your eye forgives the minor details and instead focuses on the overall scene that is larger than life, with lights trailing off into infinity.

I normaly read what the plot is about and if I like it, I searcj for reviews of the manga and read them and if I like the reviews then I go to the store and when I find the book I just skimp threw the pages and if I like the art I buy it. (also if its recomended to me I check it out)

I read what it's about, and then I see how convenient it would be to get a hold of because I don't wanna start unless I can finish. (usually look for active translators)
I like nice drawings but they aren't that important.
Sometimes I will find something that looks cool though, and I'll read it based on that. Or I'll read up on what its about because it looks nice.

I usaly go by cover art, story summery, and age recomidason(exsept i got in the oppasit direcson, younger the less likely i am to buy it)that's one of the things i hate about del-rey, they put a good porson of there manga in plastic wrap, and in some cases i can understand and i respect them for that, but when i by from them i can only go by cover art and story snapist, so far I have been lucky and goten pastel(one of my favorets) and negima(another great one) but yeah thats what it usaly takes and so far nothing that i havent liked and keapt buying.

Look at the synopsis (if any sometimes), thumb through and look at the artwork, read a few random pages and if it passes inspection, it goes home with me. lol. That how I found King of Bandits Jing.

Since I'm new to manga, I saw a DNAngel book sitting on one of my friends book shelves. I looked at it, flipped through and set it down. Then when I was at Barnes and Noble, there was DNAngel. So i bought a copy. I guess what im saying is if it looks good, some of my friends like it, maybe i will too.

For me, it's a combination of artwork and storyline. If the storyline doesn't interest me, no matter how gorgeous the art is, I'm not going to be interested. For even if the story is interesting, in many cases, if I don't like the artwork, I can't get into the series. Case in point, Basilisk. The story is totally the sort of thing I'm into, yet, I can't stand the art. Of course, there have been rare cases where the plot overides my feelings about the art. One case of this is the BECK manga. When I started reading, I could not stand the way Harold Sakushi drew his faces, yet, I'd seen the anime and fell in love with the story, so I kept reading inspite of my art issues. I actually like the art now, although that's because there's a definte change in how Sakushi draws his faces (I find them much more natural and attractive now) sometime during the 10th volume, which made all the difference in the world for me (I actually find characters other than Chiba hot now).

Hmm generally I tend to read things that I've talked to my friends about. Or one that came up in some random IRC chat some night! Its rare that I walk into an manga without having seen or heard about it from someone else first. Occasionally though I do flip through random books while in book stores to see if they might be of any interest. Honestly though I don't tend to buy random ones, I spend way too much money on ones I know I'll read and enjoy! LoL

I usually would choose depend on the artwork. By the character designs, it gives me briefly on what the series would be like/about. Then I would check on the summery of the manga. I also choose by genre. I only like certain types of genre of manga.

The mangas I've mostly read are mangas that have been recommended to me by my friend.

I usually look for good art and genre that I like.

I find out about the storyline, and that's how I chose. The artwork isn't that important, since there are a lot of good looking mangas. I also check how many volumes are in a series, since I don't like long series. They usually get repetative at some point.

I choose from what I've heard of, and that usually leads to a happy me. I read Anime Beckette to give me all the goods. Like Yotsuba. I thought it sounded cool by what it said in the magazine. And I found it hilarious. Anyway, other than that I choose by Rating and gendre of the manga. And if the summery on the back sounds good to me, the manga will be good to me too.

I first take a look at some pages to see if the art is good, then start reading to see if the story is attracting. If it isn't, then I won't go on even if the art is beautiful, I just can't stand boring stories :(
