Hmmm...your scan need to improved...I can still see a jagged lines and its in bad quality...

Ok its not bad at all , you need to clean a bit the scan
and maybe for the Bg on the top , remove the black ... ( then it will be a 3 color band blanc white red)

Nice try for a newbie well you must clean that scan thingy.I agree w/ rukawa theres some jagged lines there.

I neatened up the characters and changed the first layer. I'm not sure how I did the bit in the centre but I think it looks cool

I can clean the edges but I can't clean the actual scans any more because I've already completely recoloured them to neaten them up
I have cleaned the edges and shortened Byakuya as well as doing a fine clean up of renji:

It may be me but i dont like the scans at all there not cut out right and they look blurry id use a diff pic
apart from that its ok. the background is much improved form the first one.

You have a lot of improvement from the first go around. (^_^) Next time, just try going at the edges with a low opacity eraser brush and the blur tool. Don't be afraid to use a 1 pixel black brush to go over the outlines. With a little practices it will end up looking like you didn't extract it at all. The only other thing is that your signature really, really stands out. If you can try and make it a single line that would fit under the taskbar, then it would let your wallpaper shine more. As it is now, the text is just kind of half visible when it is set as a background.
