After months of work, chanelqueen17 has created a gorgeous scene of Alice and Oz from Pandora Hearts, using scans that didn't even feature both characters together. Even after spending so much time on matching the details of the characters to their new looks, chanelqueen17 didn't stop there and went all out on the background too! This wallpaper definitely needs to be seen!

Just a few of the sketches I made. They're chibi (i hope) of my characters in my story. I hope some people can give advises and opinions on it.

Second one works a bit. The others don't. Word to the wise, Chibi is about cute. Not cool. So focus mainly on trying to bring the cuteness out rather than anything else. A rather effective (but highly traumatic for some) way to get a taste of cute is to watch... sugar fairy...

I definitely think youre on the right track and that youve got the cute idea down, though the third one she looks more like a miniaturized adult. The first and second sketches come closer. Theres also two ideas of chibi. 1 is more of a chibi = kid like the second is chibi = proportionally unbalanced big head smaller body etc.

You kind of just need to experiment and find what works for you.

I like your draws, they´re nice, but I don´t think they´re chibis, hummm... my idea of chibi is big head and small body, and also cuteness, (maybe I´m crazy and there can be another kind of chibiness, heheh but it´s a nice job, oh, another thing, big ayes, really BIG eyes ^^

I got most of the idea from the chibi artworks of Ragnarok online, I thought I was on the right track since most of their chibi artworks are like minature adults. Then again... they aren't. Thanks for the comments and advises by the way.

I think you're on the right track but to make them "chibi" the head must be larger and the eyes are sometimes larger than drawing normal anime. The characters don't have to be tall if they're chibi. happy drawing.

I think you made the same mistake i did when a first try do drawn a chibi ( weel i still making this mistake anyway ) well dont make the picture of a realistic child or how you charas will be if they are childs ( i dont know if you create this charas but this count for fanart too ) try to imagine the charas in the most cute way even if they dont look realistic or cool they just need to look cute ;3
and try to make the head a litte bigger like 1/3 of the body and place many lightflares on the eyes help with the "cute effect" =]

I'll tell you a trick, see the size of the head?

multiply by 3 or 4, thats the size of a chibi (i recomend 3 though)

looks like this

O - head
O - torso
O - legs

(hmmm, if you're are wondering how i know this... i actually draw, made a character of myself BUT i can't imagine some freaking clothes for her to wear...)

just a note: someone said "If you draw a cute girl, you draw everything. Girls are hard as hell to draw"

i agree with it, BUT i im more like "if you draw a hand, you draw everything"

well, you can go somewhere if you practice

i'm not that good with color combinations that's why i didn't have it colored. but i'll make a colored version soon. bout the face... i just got that idea when i saw a chibi of an anime character i saw once. guess that was wrong then

It really seems like my drawings are more like minute adults rather than chibis. I'll post the others that i've finished with the drawings i've already posted. they still don't resemble chibis though
