I've only played the Gameboy Advance version (I think it was first Fire Emblem, not sure) before. I think it's good, but I think it game would be better if didn't have any storyline.

I love the FE games. I just wish they'd have ported Fuuin no Tsurugi (6) over after they released Rekka no Ken (7). Oh well. I still love Rekka no Ken the best. Lloyd and Hector are my favorite characters in the game.
I just cant's say how much I like the Fire Emblem Series. The last one i played was the one on Gameboy advance. After beating it i played it again, again... I really recomnd it it because it really great game and just love almost every character from it.
I LIKE FE in general, but I'm not really into Strategy RPG games, so I've never actually played it.
It's really a shame... >_<

I played both games for GBA and they were very good. I never got beyond those two games, oh well...
Although I will have to admit, they got me into turn-based strategy video games. But the mecha guy within me likes Super Robot Taisen better. :-/

Awesome series. Now if Nintendo would announce a DS version, a move that makes perfect sense, I'd be very, very happy.

Are you serious? Besides the gameplay, the story was one of the most awesome things about the game. Though I do admit, the story scenes do get a bit tedious after your 5th playthrough, but I still love the characters and the story.
The game rocked. It was the only reason why I enjoyed my gameboy advance so much. I haven't tried the gamecube version yet, though I want to. Maybe I will a year from now when gamecubes will cost as much as a used game :D
We definitely need more FE games over here in the U.S. ^^
Fire Emblem rocks. I've played both GameBoy Advance Fire Emblem games. I haven't tried out the GameCube one yet. I've like replayed the first Fire Emblem like 5 times already. I never get tired of that game.
I love this series to death! Well, i;ve only played the american versions but they are sooo good!!
All the characters are really unique from one another and I like how they have support conversations with multiple characters. it makes it alot easier to understand certain characters.
I didn't really like the gamecube version though... The reason i loved the GBA ones were because of the sprites. The fight scenes had REALLY cool and flashy animations. Gamecube one was really boring, even though not as repetitive. And i hate playign strategy games on consoles. It feels more natural and better on a handheld.

I really like the Fire Emblem games--I wish they would have brought them over to the U.S. sooner! One thing that I think is incredible about the games are how complex and well-crafted the storylines are. Even though I'll admit that there have been times when I just wanted to get to more gameplay, I still appreciate how much time the developers spend on the story, and I enjoy going through it.
