So has anyone here seen the first episode? I did and I have to say I think I'm going to like this a lot better than Gundam Seed, there aren't any "boohoo" whiny characters. The Gundams look really cool, the animation is great, and it really reminds me of Gundam Wing. Also the main protagonist Setsun is voiced by Mamoru Miyano who did Light in Death Note, and the last lines of the episode are his and he says it in the exact tone that Light uses through out Death Note, it was really ominous and awesome haha.
I find the Gundam00 quite promising, although it's just the first episode for now. But it is a good start. The opening theme sang by L'Arc~en~ciel, Daybreak's Bell, is dynamic and catchy, befitting of a Gundam series opening indeed. And the plot this time seems to have more to offer (hopefully) so may the rest of the series be equally good. Didn't know Setsuana was voiced by the seiyuu who did Light as well. As to the mobile suits, I find the booster that gives off the shimmering light very majestic.. Somehow gives me a Gundam wing dejavu..

Great so far and will definitely get better beacuse their is too much competition in the robot genre cough code geass cough
I have to agree, so far so good. I've been wanting a good Gundam series comparable to Gundam Wing. Not to mention this one has a favourite seiyu of mine. We'll see how this one continues as time goes by.

Adding my two sense again personally i think its gonna be great i mean the person who directed this directed fullmetal alchemist so expect some real drama and plot twists and the action is very good as each gundam has their own very different style of fighting and its nice to see real variety when it comes to actual combat and not just the gundams themselves
I hated it. This has got to be the first time I've ever had to force myself to watch a Gundam episode. There was so much wrong with it ... if anyone wants to discuss it with me pm me because I don't think I'll be able to respond in full in this thread.
I liked the gundam designs but i don't like looks of the male characters. A couple of them confused me until I heard their voice

Hahahah! Yeah like the guy with the glasses and the purple hair, I sware he looks like a girl. Anyways I liked the first episode a lot! Can't wait for the episodes to come out! The Gundams looked cool, and the story seemed decent, I look forward to see how the anime turns out.

As long as they don't veer too much into the whole "God" Gundam thing, I'm fine. By that, I mean, don't make Gundams too powerful, a la Wing Gundam or Freedom. That just gets annoying, and makes the show incredibly predictable. One of the fun things about the UC shows is that Gundams are just as susceptible as normal mobile suits when piloted poorly.

theres too many other series that are way better than gundam out there right now. A few of those are Shakugan no Shana II, Clannad, Rental Magica, Hayate no Gotoku, Baccano!, and some others...
Gundam related shows are kinda dead for me now, ever since Gundam SEED Destiny... the original SEED was good though i have to say. This Double Oh series seems to remind me of Gundam Wing, with the whole "we don't want war and we'll spread our ideals, so we'll kill off or intervene on sites of war related stuff".
o yea, and most gundam series nowadays are kinda predictable. i guarentee that Setsuna is gonna get a super l33t Gundam in the end, cuz the Gundam he got right now kinda reminds me of strike and all those other dinky looking Gundams that a main character starts out with and then ends up with something like Freedom.

Actually I think this series won't be that great, I already hate 2/4 Gundam pilots and the weird looking dude at the end who is the leader of CB. I will admit it is too early in the series to judge and I would like some more plot development before I can see what's truly great about it. Currently it just seem to me that CB are the bad guys, sure they stop terrorism and militarization but it just seem to me that there is a hidden objective in there. Also I hate the name of celestial beings (CB), because I really really really hate people who think they are above others, and currently that's what this seem to be, CB is better so it is hard to sympathize with the enemy (bad guys).

I like it, it has promise, by seen the first episode I think of Gundam W but most of the males look like cute girls.
