what's the point of submitting walls if a good wall will just get four comments (including mine) and a "no rating" rating.... ? it's pointless...
using a crappy quality scan instead of the vector i made, over a stock photo would have been much easier...and the result would be the same...some crappy NR raiting....

It's because there was the 14-15/08 parti when you submitted it and today the site was not accessible since a few hours !
Anyway, you can get a rating after don't worry.
For my point of view, i do wallpapers for fun and not for having a good note ;-)

It's not just in the new submissions area. It's generally hard to get comments no matter what you do. If it's any consolation, I think your wall is very good =) I just wish it was in a widescreen version. That's the reason I started walling in the first place, a lack of walls that fit my screen.
I think the problem is this: there needs to be more new blood on this forum. Probably the people who have been around a while are not online as much, or getting tired of walling, or whatever... with new people the enthusiasm will return.

Well, this ranting thread is posted in the wrong place. I told you before, Session Zero, is for wallpapers in progress, not for ranting about a wallpaper that hasn't received recognition.
Personally, I think that is a good wallpaper. It was probably posted before the site went down for 18 hours, so consider it a case of bad luck for you. If it makes you feel better, delete it and re-submit it.

Does this even really qualify as a problem / suggestion given that its neither?
As for Edibomb. If you're making wallpapers merely for recognition's sake you may wish to rethink your hobby. If you can't find satisfaction in the process itself and you are reliant on validation from an external party you have larger problems at hand.

DOING walls and SUBMITTING THEM are very different things....
Then rethink submitting them. There's little point in getting hung up on semantics.
But art is for both enjoyment and recognition...if you love your hobby so much, you'd wanna share it with the world, right?

i mean, before i knew about animepaper, i just kept the walls for my self...
but when you start uploading things, it's because you want to share your art with the people, you want them to see it....
point is, nobody saw our walls (our for us...the ones who submitted just before the site went down)...

I saw that.. i just didn't comment on that wall. because i didn't likke the clouds and sky, should I have commented on that?

you really can't force anyone to recognize your walls and such. I mean... really, you just have to improve. I don't mind this kind of stuff as much as I see other walls with no effort get attention. that's all.

Guess your right, i can't force people to recognize the effort....
the point is that i don't think this is all beacuse no one want to download and comment on the wall...it's more like a thing of totally bad luck....almost nobody had the opportunity to saw it and that's what pisses me off...
i mean when you make a wall don't you want people to like it ?? that's the whole point on uploading thigs, so people can download the wall and use it for a time...in the end, the important thing is that someone could like it enough to use on their computer....the fact that your very own work is on someone's pc, always there, in the bg...i think that's what we are all looking for when we upload...

I'm sorry that nobody commented on your wall, unfortunately we cannot make people comment. We try to give everyone fair exposure on the front page of at least a day, however when problems such as the hard drive troubles we had yesterday arise, it is our priority to bring AP back online, not force people to notice your wallpaper.
Feel free to delete and resubmit if you're feeling confident that people will notice your wallpaper this time.
