Well you could always download WoW off the net, and play on a free server
Then theres tibia, its free, unless you want to pay for premmy(like myself), you can also go on free servers and get free premmy.
Theres also runscape, its ok, pretty pixilated. Free as well unless you want, membership or whatever they call it.
Pretty much any MMo these days you can prob play for free on a free server, i dunno.

Just play world of warcraft. That's all you'll ever need. My roommate failed 2 quarters of UCLA for Wow and a guild mate dropped out of college to become grand marshal. It's that damn good.
That HERO game looks pretty cool, maybe I'll try it out! ^^

I really liked lineage2 for a mmorpg game, its mostly a pvp based game with not a whole lot on questing. most of the private servers are relatively high rates and already have quest items for changing classes so that you dont spend your time running around for quests or getting lost doing them.
i remember hearing of cabal online, combo system is quite intriguing for a mmo. personally i like a game with a good amount of freedom to do what you want whenver you wanted, like lineage2 you're allowed to attack whatever you want, except in some towns which are safe zones.
another one i tried was silkroad online, i admit its pretty hard sometimes because you need to build your character right or you'll fail it hard. and nearly every level makes a huge difference in power, especially at lvl 32 for mage builds. its hard as in you need to balance for the incomming exp and sp so that you arn't too high level with crap skills or you're too low level to use good items but have high skills. having skills a bit too high will make you use a lot of potions.

Not all MMOs are RPGs. There's Warrock which is an MMOFPS.
Well im just waiting for cabalonline to make a US server so that i can join. It should be out soon, you can apply for closed testing for anyone thats not in europe on www.cabalonline.net except you just need to register at gamengame.com i think but itll tell you.
Unfortunately i dont have much time to play WoW at that level, i cant loose my job for a game lol. Or say bb to money and my cars T_T
But i did play WoW for a couple of months, it was cool i got up to like lv 34 before quitting lol.
I just want cabal to come out, i played the closed beta when the europe version didnt have ip blocks to anyone either than europe and that games is basically free to do wat you want. its not so much an rpg though but ye the graphics are awesome the gameplay is awesome and the combo system is really different and cool. That game id pay for >.<
remember www.cabalonline.net i'd love to play with you guys on the US servers. Though i wont be on that much =/

Not much time? I play WoW in 2 hour intervals maybe 3 days a week. I have 2 60's and lots of epics. Despite popular belief, it really doesn't require that much time to play WoW. The problem is that once you start playing you get sucked into it, just like any MMO.
So in otherwords: go with WoW, if you don't have time for that, you won't have time for many other MMOs.
Gotta admit that Cabal online does look fun though.

I've heard from some friends that Cabal is actually good, that's shocking to me. I expected it to be pretty crappy. I do agree though, just get WoW. It's all you need basically, and it has basically everything that anything else has to offer. Maybe not as indepth, but it's overall the most fun to me.
Not having time was an excuse to quit lol, i just need to try something else like cabal XD
i still have my account on wow, but everytime i start getting anywhere i end up making a new character.

Okay, Hero Online wasn't that fun AT ALL. ;_____; Though it looked very cool.

There's this new game on Steam that's called X3 something something. It's like a space shooter, that's better than Freelancer, Eve Online, and etc. etc. It looks fun.
As MMORPGs go, I will always be faithful to RAGNAROK ONLINE. I know, it' horribly cutesy, but when your a Sin X that combos a bazillion times for 50k damage... you have to feel just a little badass. XD
It also has faster load times than all those graphic heavy games, but is still aesthetically pleasing. There are also thousands of free servers. I suggest XaosRO- it's the one I play on. ^_^
I'm ok with FPS. I dunno. Maybe it's just cus I'm a girl that likes storylines and colors. I am on BF2 once in a while though. Just to kill my cousins and classmates once in a while. :p

I gave up on Lineage 2 (no guild buddies), MapleStory (lvl 65 char got hacked and deleted), RuneScape (oldschool), and Eve Online (it was my cousin's paid account).

You can go try WoW. But here is some advice from someone who played since closed beta and just quit this summer. I have wasted half a year of actual gameplay (around 200 days of gameplay since its 18 month release). All I can say is wait for a new server to appear and start out new or wait until the Burning Crusade expansion comes out to start out new.
I highly recommend you not to start playing the game all fresh and new on an old server. Trust me that you will not be welcome there, as the majority of the players on the server WILL be level 60 (the max level). You will have a hard time getting into groups, top guilds, etc. The game is not very friendly to casual players or new players, as becoming the best require hours and hours per week of raiding/pvping. The majority of the new content being released is aimed at end game content.
The Burning Crusade is mainly aimed at end game content also. So don't expect too much new low level content. I've played with Blizzard games since 1995 and had some off and on real work with them, it's pretty much how they think and work.

I would play world of warcraft, but i've seen what that game has done to others. on the contrary, i'm surprised that no one has talked about guild wars. it's a pretty fun game that doesn't require a monthly fee. i know it's not as great as WoW, but it's not that bad either. give it a shot.

This little bastard is mine!
