Well, it's looking good, but imo, it could use some color, and the trees... well, you may wanna give them some texture or something like that, 'cause buildings look good (sometimes) just in black, but I don't think it applies to trees too.
Life without music just wouldn't be worth living.
I think the doesnt need any texture as its a vector wallpaper (i think), I like version 1 more, it actually have more range of colour, it appeal more to me, I like it, I think its ready.

I'm not trying to give you a hard time, and I realize it's your wallpaper and your interpretation. But I think that you should not just throw in random photosohp vectors!
To me cowboy bebop is about being cool, improvising, doing things your own way, space, the future, but a vintage twist...

Spike vector is really really nice. and i mean it. therefore i suppose the rest should be at least as well vectored ;p like the city -- imitate spike's shadowing maybe? to make the city less flat?
Generally speaking it's not bad...
but i think the knickknack is too much...
spike is a very cool guy with a calm character
so i think, that it doesn't fit...
but all in all it's okay...

Nice but the buildings are jagged and the colours are a turn off

Could use more detail. There's a lot of simple solid color. If you're aiming for a vectored look, it need a lot more detail and varient in color.
Also, I don't particularly like the starts on the right side..
